  • Why would you ally yourself with someone named Bad Luck Hula? Sounds like a bumbling luckless sidekick to me,

  • Like everyone says...it's from Ruby-Spears.

  • Damn...has it been that long?

  • And of course the later version of it with Baby Plas (what was it with pint size side kicks like scrappy doo?). Still remember watching this faithfully as a kid.

  • Ruby Spears not Filmation!

Filmations artwork was way better then this!

  • he looks like Johny cage

  • the retarded mr. fantastic. haha.

  • @ConspireToConspire You may say that but Plastic Man predates Mr. Fantastic by two decades.

  • There's secret rape!

  • you know jim carrey is dying to make this into a movie.

  • @theunit32 Funny, I was thinking he'd be perfect for it.

  • you are sure that it's filmation?

  • @MrLeo4ever No, this was produced by Ken Ruby and Joe Spears. In fact, the complete series is on DVD now.

  • DC's version of Mr Fantastic

  • @Big67DS , no, Mr. Fantastic came about Twenty years after Plastic man, and Pastic man wasn't originally a DC character.

  • Sounds like he's voiced by the guy that does the voice of Duke on GI Joe.

  • @sidearmsalpha Exactly and that voice belongs to Michael Bell, who did a lot of voice overs on many cartoon series such as G.I. Joe, Superfriends, Tarzan & The Super 7 and Devlin, just to name a few.

  • @Scarletspeedster68 Not to mention the talking margarine tub in the Parkay ads.

  • Wow........ This show makes Superfreinds look like Batman The Animated Series!

  • @MaxRebo120 it was a comedy.... what do you want? =D

  • @hcvang I know. I just found out it was. Sorry Plastic Man fans!

  • "He can dance!"

  • That doesn't look like a Filmation cartoon...

  • Dude!! This was Ruby Spears ( Hanna Barbera ) not Filmation....but I still love the show!!!

  • I heard he can have sex with someone in another zip code!!!

  • Oh my Goodness did he Really have a Clam as a Villain??? LOL This cartoon was gold!!! LOL

  • @tzford Now you just sound like a retard. Go get some treatment for your fucked up brain, shithead.

  • @iblob666 I need Treatment for an Argument that I didnt' start. Hmmm You First Jerk!!!!!

  • call me nuts, but I think I remember seeing this ruber superhero on CARTOON NETWORK. He now appears on BATMAN: THE BRAVE AND THE BOLD

  • Yeah I've seen him, and he seems to be a bit of a kleptomaniac in that show, sort of portrayed like a bad guy.

  • Does he exist?

  • Yes he does. Plastic Man was actually the FIRST stretchable superhero (before Elasic Lad and The Elongated Man -- and Marvel's Mr. Fantastic, btw) He was one of onlyTHREE superheroes to guest star in the ORIGINAL "SuperFriends" series (the other two were Green Arrow and The Flash).

One interesting thing -- this is the ONLY opening to a cartoon with a DC Superhero that actually shows a cover to his comic. I suspect it was to 'prove' he was a DC Hero. But 'newest"? Plas was around in the 1950's.

  • lolol very stupid cartoons

  • Actually, this was Ruby-Spears - not filmation

  • You're absolutely right. This video's owner should change its title and replace "Filmation's" with "Ruby-Spears'".
