  • see that's why it's good to keep ur own tradition alive...

  • The Christina Noble Foundation seems to be doing work for street children.

  • pityyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy =[

  • First of all, I want to thank the lady who made the orphan house and camp for the kids. It's true that every country has some social problems as Mongolians are facing now. However, the little kids need the help first. They are too little that they don't know how to survive. Since the government of Mongolia is too corrupted and doesn't want to see these problems, we have to do something to help the kids. Is the any contact info to the lady who made the house?

The account info is helpful as well.

  • I was in Mongolia and I was fascinated by all these beautiful Mongolians with red hair. I thought Mongolians only could have black hair, but there is so much red hair there.

  • @FreeJosefFritzl ya its a lil odd but my mom has natural red hair but i dont and a lot of ppl in my school always think that asians always hav black hair and black hair only

  • I'm mongolian, i never regret of being mongolian, my family was foor, and we lived in difficult condition, i know how hard it is. I've read the comments of other people, but now it is not a time to argue which country is the best or the worst, we are not comparing, we just focus on real situation, we have to think about solutions instead of comparing. I really want to do something for them, but im not prime minister of mongolia, i just want to say to you think about it seriously

  • Man has indeed failed the most venerable deliberately.

  • Government sucks ugh they do nothing but sit on their asses, this is too much! I mean there must be very few homeless kids is it too much to ask take care of them? like give 'em for adoption for godsakes in America people are desperate to adopt kids nice people too, this is so sad!!! Somebody needs to do something about it

  • every nation has a bad side because Mongolians dont speak english and wide dont have world wide famous building person or something every time i go to class my teacher ask me something about my city my life about Mongolia, one time she ask me do you have cinema i said yes she asked how expensive is it i said cheap she asked me do you have air conditioners in cinema watta fuck is that Q? she ask me do you have air[ort why you assholes dont see the good side!!

  • It is true ,what about helping the children,Mongolia people are lovely and so are Tibetan and chinese and so on. I have never seen people argue who is better you all are and there are monsters in every culture but hopefully not you.

  • Our country will rise when the new generation comes to government....

for example. like me, or like my friends...

  • Didi Anand is not the good person this video claims she is and is typical of Aljazeera not doing their research properly we adopted a Mongolian child in 2006 and found some very unsettling things about the Lotus Orphanage not to mention, buying babies from prostitutes and ostrosizing themselves from ALL the other childrens charities in the country including the Asia Foundation, I'd be interested to know who put her forward to represent foreign children's charities in Mongolia.

  • You will see one day! My country will become more developed than any other countries in the world. It will happen, I guarantee that ok

  • people get so emotional, it is an a video about street children, it is not about nationalism or patriotism, it is a little disheartening to see that most of these comments are about which country is better or who is evil or just people hurling insults at eachother. What about these children??

  • Ya - people have no common sense and generally don't give a fuck

  • @airandshadow It's true, i agree. Too much shouting with lack of knowlegde! Like my english ;)

  • mongolians are so white for asians.

  • mongolians are so white for asians"? what does that comment change? it changes nothing. How about " mongolians are soooooo asian compared with whites?"Majority of mongolians 80% are genetically pure. You're only watching the kids. Al the grown up mongolians protesters has black hair and dark eyes and look 100% asians. besides, 5% of mongolia are kazakhs, and 15% mongolians today has 15% female european ancestry.

  • @spiritclaymore They have male European ancestry.

  • @MixingThemGenes No, mongolians have about 20% european ancestry but 3/4 of it came from european females.

  • Mongolia will always be poor and dis-organised if they don't do what their forefather, Gheghis Khan, used to do --- looting & stealing from China.

that explained why Great Wall of China is built. You can image the extend of hunger and looting took place.

  • unluckly, now it isnt cold weapon era. these mongolia asshole cant do it again.otherwise, china can extinct them all to hell.

  • Mongolia is not related to China. It's totally independent country which has bad government.

....btw Chinese people live even worse than this.

F8cking chinese!!! I'm 100% mongolian. Now there's no more children like them. It's not that common in my country. How did you get this video??? I don't see them anywhere.

  • lol, becareful of your pity country desertification progressing.

  • @chinafuckaltaipig you know what Mongolia is very democratic country, it it

is developing rapidly!!! We have everything like America. We have every expensive brands. Every country has

it's poor side. Mongolia is not Chinese, Chinese,Kyrgiz,Uzbek are Mongoli

an. Chinggis Khan was dominated all over the world. Many Mongolians are liing around the world.

  • I don't agree mongolia is not recongnise as rich country. Japan is the 2nd advance country and china is 3rd strongest power right now. Now I'm not saying this because I like chinese. Mongolia was great in past but it's economy and military it's ranked at bottom 50.

  • Who the hell wants to be Mongolian, dirty poor backward country. Chinese pride! Mongolians are still mastrubating with their short-lived past glory, LOL!

  • Damn Mongolian briber government.

  • WTF does this video have to do China? Some of you are consume by your hatred of China that everything is China's fault. The Chinese is a despotic government, we all know that, but every fault in the world can't be traced to them; and not to the Chinese people.

  • Don't tell me I'm brainwashed by communist party, I'm a oversea Chinese, I'm very clear about western media, do you guys believe China is a communist country or you are brainwashed by the fucking America?????

  • So, china is a Democracy like America? That's ridiculous. It's Communist and your freedoms are slim. How about the 20th anniversary of The Tiannaman Massacre?

  • China has kids walking the streets with no shoes on, no home, no food, no hope. China has an evil government.

  • How you know China has millions children in street? Why you foreigners always be brainwashed by America's media like CNN? If you want to know a country clearly, travel to the country, touch is by yourself, don't believe the media!

  • That's so wrong! My grandma was sold by HER OWN FATHER from Inner Mongolia to the north of China when she was little... And it so sad to see this happen after decades:(

  • minii mongolchuud man' davan tesen shuu, shudee zuugaad uragshaa zutgehees eer arga baihgui, gadaaduudaas ichihgui baharhaltai amdran bid nar neg eder, terend bi etgeltei bain, terend bi zutgen...

  • uchiraa medehguy haralgan uragshaa zutgesneer MAXH metiin tarhi ugaagciin togloom bolj naashaa neg sawchuulj caashaa neg sawuulah vii

  • i hope to give back someday... to those kids.

  • China spends $20 billion on the olympics while having millions of children on the streets.

  • In the city of Ereen (erlian) at the border between China and Outer Mongolia, there is a Chinese school only directed for the homeless kids in Outer Mongolia like those in this video. The school provides free education, food and shelter, basic hygiene and health care. Everything is free of charge, but they must learn everything in Chinese and go back to Mongolia in the future. I dont know the intention of the Chinese doing that but at least the poor kids are better off. Very sad for those kids.

  • obviously chinese are preparing Chinese- favorable generation in Mongolia out of available 'material'.

  • i love mongolian food

  • yaashin eem huunused

  • huurhii minii mongolchuud minidee

  • hi anyone want to chat

    anyone want to chat vi

  • do you have any work?

  • NUMA NUMA!!

  • how? by being killed. communism is not what we want now. do you think china doesn't have poverty and etc.

  • That is an interesting point you have, there thousands of anti poverty demonstrations take place all over the china possibly a few of your regions happy to separate from your central government. There is regular snow storm can stop your new year for weeks at the time maybe open your eyes. You have your own funny stories deal with that first. :D

  • Ha ha. I was studying abroad. I know that many Chinese students do not like to be Chinese. May be, you are proud of your origin. But many of you are ashemed of being Chinese. Even some try to be Mongolian. Why? Why?

Yes we Mongolians have problem. But, what do you think about your 300 million chinese living in the worest condition without acess to educatiion and helth care?

    Better to concern yourselves!!!!!

  • not 300 million......almost 1 billion!!!!

  • Yes, we've seen that in Inner-Mongolia. Where the herdsmen are being accused of causing desertification by grazing, so their herds have been taken away, the Mongols put in flats and their grazing lands given to Han farmers!! The Han now make up 80% of the population of Inner-Mongolia. The Han has succesfully usurped this land and are hard on the way doing the same to Turkestân where the Han were 6% in 1949 and now officialy 40% but in reality over 50%!!!!!

  • Are you stupid or just blatantly ignorant.

Return back Inner Mongolia and then we can talk about improving relations.

Until then just stick to being what the chinese are best at- Smoking, being noisy and not least of all BEING UGLIEST PEOPLE ON THIS PLANET.

  • quit interesting, does china have to improve the relationship with mongol?

and please repent to all the chinese for the killing done by ur khan

  • There are many couples out there who can't have children and wants one. But there are couples who are blessed with children left and right but just abandon them, so sad!

  • thats sad to see kids on the streets, one day i hope they can find a home to stay warm in

  • i am sorry too. i lost it . peace for humanity

  • Ginger lol . with such a name . i will kill my self

  • got a kick out of the traditional mongolian boom box at the end of the video.

  • I think the music was actually in Russian.

  • No the music is Romanian song called Dragen den tsei or Noma Noma something.

Yes this is big hardship that not few post communist countries are experiencing.

  • Then I probably heard a Russian version of it somewhere or maybe a parody.

Yes, not only ex-communist countries are experiencing problems like this, even many Russian areas are still problematic

  • Impressive. I've rarely seen news covering Mongolia. It's one of those vast countries with a fascinating history that just seems to have fallen off the map.

  • Genghis khan will be ashamed.

More childrean neeed to be in school not streets.

    What is the goverment doing.

    AJI good job highlighting this.

    ITS a dam shame.

    Not acceptable at all.

Where is the gov now ?

  • the shame is that mongolians can not feed their children, while bloated western companies are leeching the resources of the country away to feed their slop pit.

  • OK, Billy Gates (the opportunistic geek) is an exception to my rule. Oprah does not get off so easy tho :D

  • Dysgenik - sure hundreds and hundreds of years ago their ancestors raped and pillaged their way across Asia and Europe killing millions, but that was hundreds and hundreds of years ago, everyone who did the raping and pillaging is now long dead, and they were nomadic people, and not 'modern' or 'civilized'. Maybe its better to focus on the modern and civilzed people who are still doing that (although in a more modern and civilzed manner) in the 20th and 21st Centries and who are still alive...

  • good point, but barbarism is barbarism; regardless if it is done with modern weapons. these weapons just increase the savagery; and the idea that it can continue without any reprocussions by animalistic murderes who do not understand that there is something more to humans than fearful animalistic instinct that tells creatures to kill for their own advancement.

  • ever heard of the Bill and Melinda foundation? i'll think you will find that he IS indeed doing something useful with all his money!

  • I'll say it agin: "OK, Billy Gates (the opportunistic geek) is an exception to my rule. Oprah does not get off so easy tho :D".

  • Very good report. I would like to see a followup where they talk about WHY people have moved into the cities and abandoned their nomadic lifestyle.

  • well the homeless children have nothing to do with that...they didn't murder anyone

  • That is really amazing mentality dysgenic. Simply out of this world. Its the kind of mentality that breeds hatred that lasts for generations.

  • I am not heartless, but their ancestors sure were.

  • These children are not their ancestors any more than I am Richard the Lionheart

  • yeah, the children are in fact their descendants... but yeah, their race is no more pure than any other race, so it's even harder to pass the blame along

  • What do you care for the history which was about 800 years ago. So you think your ancestors were not barbarians and they were always in peace, no one killed no one. Remember the crusaders. I don't think that any nation or any race deserves to be judged by history. It's modern world wake up dude.

  • So I guess my ancestors were murderers but europeans murdered millions of indians and aboriginals and robbed their lands in 2 american continents and australia, new zealand all over the place is that crime or "immigration"?

Middle easterners abuse their women and crime level everyday is that culture or crime?

Basically everywhere there are same history Everyone's were ancestors criminal because Time itself of crime time, but today we are entering into civilized stage of social evolvement.

  • "So I guess my ancestors were murderers but europeans murdered millions of indians and aboriginals and robbed their lands in 2 american continents and australia, new zealand all over the place is that crime or "immigration"? "

Siberia and all siberian natives too

  • @Nairuulagch

wow! laitai helsen bnshd! you go Nairuulagch! speechless :)

  • @Nairuulagch Long Live Mongolia. And one day U will get beloved Siberia back, on which Russians are thieving and getting rich on its abundant oil, gas and other resources.

  • numa ahhhhhhhhh sorry but the world get smaller every day ! nice to see the kids cared for

  • Were they listening to Numa Numa song? Haha, great.

  • thank you for the report.. this is a problem for all of the world, we are one

  • Another excellent video from Al Jazeera.

    1. How about a link to the Lotus Center website in the video description? ( lotuschild dot org )

    2. How about letting me feature this video on my streetkidworld channel?

    3. How about responding to your mail/viewer comments or is Al Jazeera only a one way medium like the other big networks?

  • I think Aljaseerah is owned by BBC. Everytime I hear a BBCWORLD Radio program about something, next day or so, I see it here on AlJazeerah. If you're having a problem, try communicating with BBCWORLD RADIO. It seems to me to be the same thing. Ever notice how the AJ reporters have British accents? Try: "OVER TO YOU" or "HAVE YOUR SAY" THEY respond...

  • it news even if you listen to china radio you will hear the same. retarded you-tube user "gin5354" . about the accent . most of the anchors from UK i am just feeling my IQ falling down just by respond to such stupid comment from people like you

  • think a good idea for a next report from Mongolia is to address the question I have been 4 years as a teacher in china

  • Nice report, Al Jazeera. I'm not a specialist on this topic at all, but it seems to me that the nomadic herders are moving to the city because a life on the countryside has become impossible for them for some reason.

I think a good idea for a next report from Mongolia is to address the question as to WHY these herders have moved to the city! I'd sure like to know...
