Is there a website or a forum page that lists the numbers involving spawning. For example, how close you have to be for something to spawn. or how far mobs have to be away from a spawner for it spawn again.
It seems like a lot of youtubers find the information easily, but I can't find it anywhere.
And don't tell me to go to the wiki, it tells you barely anything.
I can confirm that you do need to drop down *two* blocks to account for mobs jumping into the 17x17x9 area. My original skele grinder went down one extra block, and had trouble breaking 70 mobs in containment as a result. I fixed it, dropped the extra block, and now apparently there's no limit. I figure it's 'cuz mobs jump just over one block, like the player does.
@3ric89 Thanks man. It's a question I wanted a definitive answer to myself because I was seeing so much contradictory info in the community and you can't take the Wiki as infallible.

Does this Seed / Coords yield a double on 1.9 Pre6 ? I haven't gone to RC1 or 2 yet; but I am looking for a cool "project" to help expand my meager MineSkills...
Does the Spawner Scan accessable areas closest to it? or is it random chance where the mobs would be spawned?

@ixcaliber If you are within 16 blocks the spawner is active. If there are 6 or more mobs within 8 blocks of the spawner no more will spawn.
