I have the ALX X58 with max specs with an nvidia quad sli graphics and it kill cyrsis on highest levels it gives me that gaming and the core i7 lets me edit and encode vids almost 35 percent faster than my mac pro (8 core 2.66 ghz xenon 32 gb ram all of that) it truly is the bench mark destroyer I ordered an aurora just today with similar specs and i cant wait to see what it will be like

That $300 WILL NOT get you a more powerfull GPU. It will not get you a more powefull CPU and is therefore (in terms of performance) of a lesser standard that a good PC (like this one).

The joystick on your xbox has no where close to the precision of a 3000dpi mouse, you do not get nearly as much control and you must pay (ontop of your internet bill) for the use of their online service.

If you prefer it, fine but it's not technologically superior.
