  • horrible start

  • LOL! At @MisekD2 I couldn't agree more.

America, right now you've got it quite good.

If you had to pay the amount we pay for fuel, there is no way you'd be driving V6's or V8's.

Not a dig at your country just the truth. Enjoy it while you still got it.

  • it isn't automatic because the automatic one has a very bad accelaration

  • lol... shame on that poooor VW

  • naja ich bin eine gummi puppe

  • 7.79 s

    too much...

  • gearbox DSG?

  • you need gas

  • my car drives just nice it feels good I think a 1.4 with compressor and turbo with 170 horses is just overdone if you push it like that all the time the compressor and turbo will be damaged real soon.

My car is just a Fiat Coupe 2.0 16v so nothing turbo or compressor

and when you are at 180 I am already at 200 in 25 seconds and the sound is just very smooth not loud at all

  • hehe schaut mich an bin ein frosch

  • My grandmother can drive better....

  • Please rename this video to, How to abuse your Golf TSI

  • Oh hi granny, your left foot is stepping on the charcoal made out of clutch

  • 0-60 in 7,2, that's not exactly impressive

  • @lmcneice for a 1.4 litre it is.

  • @kobimzr that's a 1.4 litre, i thought it was the 2.0T that you find in the Audi A4/GTI?

  • its only a golf...

  • What is the little red thingy to the left of the fuelbar?

  • @h3lpneeded Boost Gauge

  • I can smell the clutch:D do you?

  • @AndreiZzfull its a automatic gearbox so where is the clutch?

  • @dexderpl Nope it isn't automatic.

  • engines are tested for some thousands of kilometers

Early people said dont drive with full RPM but today no problems .....

My uncle is ingeneer at mercedes Benz berlin he told me and showed me ^^

  • Let me introduce you ... the driver of the year 2006. Unable to read coolant gauges, manuals saying DO NOT HURRY THE FIRST 1000 KILOMETRES OF THE ENGINE'S LIFE, but maybe with lots of money and time to waste.

  • @xxxdream huch, habt mich verguckt

  • not very good timing

  • What an ugly dash display.

  • Hey buddy...they should have told you that you have to run untill 140km/h with 3.500 rpm...for the first 1500km... you just kill your engine

  • ik had meer verwacht van een GTI

  • 160ps?

  • shit driver

  • very slow

  • Der aktuelle 1.4TSI im 6er hat 10 PS weniger jetzt nur noch 160PS und 240Nm :(

  • i can beat you on Kawasaki zx6r 95r (worth 500$).

  • @Rossavuable And I'll stop and handle better than you as you go sliding off the track as I have 4 wheels and you have two.

  • @Rossavuable I can beat your Kawasaki with my RC-car (250€)

  • Soooo slow!!!! I have same acceleration, after 120Km/h, with my 2.0TDI 140cv.

  • Some 30 seconds from 0 to 200 on the speedo? Gosh, that's slow. Not really worth watching, only if you wanna fall asleep. :)

  • @VXstage3 You should keep in miknd this is a stock Golf with a 1400 cc engine. It´s pretty amazing the way a engine so tiny can throw horsepower. A mustang 4.0 v6 is not a lot faster and has 3 times more displacement.

  • @EduSanjuan777 Well said, people forget it is 1400cc, most other egines of this size take 15s to reach 62mph or 100kmh. It is a brilliant design.

  • @EduSanjuan777

My 88 turbo coupe has a straight 4 in it and it's probably twice as quick.

  • @NinjaOnHiatus

and who cares? Like in kindergarten "my dad has a faster caaar ne ne"

  • @TheCunnu12

Was just letting him know that ford makes a 4banger that can do the same thing so you shouldn't compare it to a v6 anyways. Only decent mustangs are v8's. It's an unfair judgement. But like you said, Your dad has a faster car.

  • @NinjaOnHiatus sure. i did some googling. your ford had max 190 hp in 1988. with god knows what power/torque curve. so, even then. i really doubt it can be not twice as quick, but barely as quick. hell, i doubt it could even do 200kmh. but, even if it could. none the less. lets say it's just as quick, or hell, lets say it's quicker.

your ford has 2.3 liter 4-cyl.

this golf has 1.4 liter 4-cyl.

    shut up now?

  • @Areoplane7

Well if you did some real research you would have found out that ford underrated them from the factory because they didn't want them to be faster than the mustang GT's on paper.. They are well over 240hp on the dyno and yes they do go 200kmh.

The torque is just under 280 pounds at 4800 rmps.

  • @NinjaOnHiatus 240 hp and 280 pounds for a 2.3 1988 4 cyl. impressive. but 1988. it couldnt be that good. what is it's problem? turbo lag? oil consumption?

  • @Areoplane7 As does every car it does have turbo lag but it's not exceptionally bad. It still gets 35 Mpg on highway and Oil consumption comes with how well the owner maintained it. They were renown for Valve cover gaskets leaking oil but thats easily resolved it ranger gasket.

  • @VXstage3

For a 1,4 litre straight 4?? Pretty impressive I'd say.

  • słabiutko ; /

  • Let's see how long the engine will do it. 1390ccm / 125kW (170HP).... might benot the best combination, at least when you treat it like that.

  • MMMTA!!!

  • for everyone who says cars should not be run WOT until they break in...its a myth. I have known a man for many years who builds racing engines, engines for hot rods, and custom work for most anything else. He tells his customers to beat the hell out of the engines for the first 2000, even for cars just recently bought from a dealer. Many people have tried this to see their cars engines last for years and over 300,000 miles...or however many km that translates to...a lot. :)

  • @tobesta2003 very true, if you don't thrash when new you also see increased oil consumption later on. You don't need to run engines in these days. I have had a turbo diesel car from new, it's now 5 and thrashed it from day one. The engine is perfect, uses no oil, doesn't smoke and is as smooth and quiet as it was when new.

I have had cars in the past that were "run in" by cautious owners and they developed numerous faults.

  • i love the turbo gauge :x

  • @YourWorstNightmareDK this is because the manufacturer says that this modern engines just have to get their water and oil temperatur and can be fully used.. i dont belive this either.. especially not if the has a turbo and kompressor

  • downsizing is the future.. not like stupid americans driving v8 hemi engines without good performance and destroying our environment!!

  • @planBe1Live

Hey, this "stupid American" will take his Hemi V-8 over a boosted 4-cylinder ANY day. Show me an honest-to-god production 4 cylinder, gas or diesel, turbocharged OR supercharged or both that makes 400 horses. Then you come talk to me.

  • @bowler2383 sure bigger blocks have more power.. but it needs a lot more gas .. i know you american guys dont have to think about those things.. but we pay four times as much as you pay for your gas.. so we have to invent engines which are not as thursty as any v8 engine.. we have a tuner around here that tunes golf iv 1.8t engines on 350-400hp .. and this engines are pretty durable.. they can make 300.000km without probs

  • @bowler2383 evo mr fq-400 for one :)

  • @planBe1Live

Hemi V8 smokes this golf easy... Challenger 5.7, Charger 5.7, 300C 5.7 and all of this cars, has at less 1600kg!

and i dont know if you dont know, the new hemi's v8's has a new system, where 4 of the 8 cilinders stop works when do not needed to be used.

    Mopar, or NO car!

  • @RafaShokk well you don't buy curs just to "smoke" other cars. some people like traveling, and some people like traveling AND not depleting half the world's oil resources in a 300 mile journey

  • @planBe1Live youre gay

  • @planBe1Live Yeah, downsizing, like MC Smart. Trashing engines after 50.000 m or three-cylinder-Opel-Engines, which may last 100.000 Kilometers. What do you think happens if the Turbo-Charger / compressor/both fails? Ever driven a modern diesel with a death turbo charger? They accelerate iike a 2CV!

  • @planBe1Live If they had to pay the same prices for fuel as in Europe they would start using bicycles...

  • @MisekD2 you have to sell your house to pay the prices of fuel.

  • @planBe1Live Couldn't agree with you more. I hate living in america and seeing these rednecks in big ass hummers and dodge trucks sucking up all the gas.

  • @robbie1490 if they sucking up gas, what r u sucking up? The rest what's left??? OH there is a drop, run for it))))) Sucker...

  • @alexrusland Sorry can't understand your horrible grammar, and spelling. I actually get 30MPG in my BMW. It only has a 3.0 I6 but it will beat most any of those crappy American car's now a days.

  • @robbie1490 Of course you don't because my toyota get 30 MPG with 3.5 V6 and 280 horse power stock !!!!! My ford explorer was doing 18 MPG with 4.0 v6 and only 150 horse's but it had 300000 miles on odometer.

  • @alexrusland What toyota do you have that has 280hp?

  • @robbie1490 new camry

  • @robbie1490 3.5-Liter V6 DOHC 24-Valve Dual VVT-i; 268 hp @ 6200 rpm; 248 lb.-ft. @ 4700 rpm

  • @alexrusland and it's $20 less them your BMW

  • @alexrusland BMW is a nice car, but it takes a lot to take care of it. At least your 3.0 bmw non turbo I had 2.7T A6 ,I had oil replaced every 2500 miles and every time I drained old oil it was dark drown. Why? Every time i'm getting German peace of engine oil in them always dark brown? I'm using mobil 1 only! 5W30 or 0W30 in the winter mostly. Do u like you bmw? I like it ) when some one else owns it)

  • @Just that you know, cars are responsabile for only 20 % of the world CO2 emissions so those HEMI engines hurt you much less than you think ;)

  • @planBe1Live amen,brother! :))

  • @planBe1Live Oh please...

  • @planBe1Live Americans finally realised their cars are fast because europeans started cutting back for green laws.

  • cool 0-200 in 38 sek respekt :)

  • that is slow!!

  • it made more sound then it went up in speed.... sound to speed ratio sucks

  • A Volvo S80 T6 does this 17 seconds faster..

  • @legitcheckitcontrol volvo cars are for senior citizens. back to the kitchen.

  • @szwaglu

Haha I'm 17 xD Just because you can't afford It, and how Is a Volvo for seniors when It's faster then a Golf? It's not like the seniors drive as fast as youths do..

Therefore the Volvo is less senior-car then the Golf.

  • where did ya drive?

  • very good

  • turbo ?

  • No where near as fast as the bmw 130i m sport!

  • @connorrump 3L vs 1.4L hmmm u must be an idiot! and still the golf is prettier :)

  • @connorrump of course not...but why the hell would you compare those two

  • @Corni33 coz thats wat i own and i had a race with one and killed it :) my car beats any hatchback on the market at the moment :P

  • @connorrump 135i? ;)

  • @Corni33 its not a hatchback!! idiot LOL

  • @Schmo2010 sorry my fault, thats right XD

  • way to kill ur engine...its brand new 900km?

  • @MrEcks998

    i think there is written 110 km^^

  • @MrEcks998

They test it to 100% throttle at 0kms in the factory, and this also helps to seal the piston rings so theres no blow-by, meaning the oil film isnt blown off.

They also tried breaking in a car with "rough" looking style and it gave more power in the dyno than a pampered car.. Less blow-by=more power, less consumption, reliability :)

  • @MrEcks998 well that is some people's way of breaking in the engine... personally i gave full power at 1500km...

  • @MrEcks998 Company cars are indestructible

  • @MrEcks998 People with money don't care about the car >..<

  • @MrEcks998

actually it benefits the engine...what damages an engine more than anything would be to never use high revs/throttle when running in or the rings don't seal in the best way.

  • @MrEcks998 AND?

He has a warranty and cars are maked for race them ;)

  • @LeonidK340 But its silly to be honest, i would let the car run in for about a week before i do anything like that, to be honest any person is going to look like a twat at a vw dealer with not a week old golf and the engine is finished

  • @MrEcks998 modern engines can take that kind od strain straight from the factory

  • @MrEcks998 no way, better burn it brand new, than destroy it out of garantee

  • @AlesShi hahaha lol you're right !! xD

  • @MrEcks998 Its a GT, meant to be a sports car, you must be idiot to think that VW doesn`t sell break-in engines like this. More exactly, you don`t need to run-in a turbo VW engine ;)

  • @MrEcks998 Why the hell your comment is not a top comment ?!

  • pretty fast in 1,2 and 3rd gear..

  • Dir beim schalten zuzusehen is eine Qual. Sorry aber is so

  • bel motore

  • No power after 140...

  • why does that light blink

  • @intel7337 because the tc (traction control) is working when the light is blinking...

  • @CIKO32123 i think that light is from esp///

  • @Razbunatoriicheli well, this can not be... because he is not steering... and on hard acceleration the front tires in a fwd cars want to spin, and thats what the tcs or asr is for (verder the spin of the wheels)... esp would stabalise the car in corners for no oversteer.

  • lol ESP is on

  • i see the car was cold. otherwise it would rev to 7500rpm per gear 110 in 7.4

  • hihi... niiiiedliiich... ^^

  • träge und lahm...

  • @mc0676 hahahhhahhahaha bravo michele!!!!

  • the weight of 1 liter of gasoline is around 0.8 kg to my mind. so 40 liters of gas are 32 kg!

  • When i have under a quarter tank in my honda it feels like five horsepower faster especially for smaller vehicles, power to weight ratio.

  • The problem for these little cars is that most of em have front wheel drive, so when a full tank is in the back, the front wheels have more weight to drag, it has less effect in a rear wheel drive car, or an all wheel drive car.

  • @Sorayan13

I like this comment alot. though i think Front engined Rear wheel drive cars are a bit unintelligent as all the weight is in the front and the rear wheels need all the traction! I don't understand it.

  • @77Ibanezz Well... front engined RWD cars have the engine in the front to save space in the back. and when you accelerate, all the weight get's dragged to the back, so the Rear wheels will have more traction from that weight, altho it's not compareable with a mid engined or rear engined car.

  • @77Ibanezz lol any corvette owner would disagree with you

  • @SnizzFizz many people would disagree with me lol

  • @77Ibanezz That's why you should buy a mazda RX-8... as did I... It's front engined and RWD but with a perfect 50/50 weight contribution.

  • @vasvas2:

I always fill up my tank full.

But when I race, I rather have an almost empty tank.

It's quite a weight! 30 liters less fuel in your tank will improve your acceleration ;)

THAT'S why the most vids are with almost empty tank ;)

  • i do the same, and its quicker around the corners also!

  • thats actually because the car will accelerate faster with an almost empty gas tank, so its kinda like cheating

  • yeah but I don't think that 3-4 extra kgr of gasoline will be a measurable difference ....

  • yes it will

  • well not 3-4 but 30-40 will

  • @ARR016a Are you fcking kidding me? The difference in weight betwen completely full and completely empty tank is 55kg....what difference is that gonna make on acceleration....0,2 seconds? Who cares. You cant possibly notice that in reality.

  • @derbigpr500 its a start!

  • @derbigpr500 lol who cares if you can't notice it, the point he's trying to make is that its faster at all if you take that step beforehand.

  • @ARR016a

haha..the guy driving could be 300lbs, u dont know..

  • @ARR016a I really wouldn't call that cheating. Cheating would be if he took all the seats out and the spare tire lol. However driving on a low tank is quite typical. Or, at least it is for college students like myself ha.

  • Guess its better to have good car with almost empty tank than bike...;)

  • Turbo :)

Pozdrawaiam

  • 1,4 TURBO+SC +1600kg nice ;P

  • its not bad, nothing special. You've got the power when you need it, but not when you're racing against someone lol

  • 9 is a little to slow for my tastes....lol

  • its actually 7 seconds.

  • oh really? i thought it was about 8 last i heard

but yes its faster than what i said lol

  • With good launch you can do it in 7. Almost as fast a GTI.

  • Comment removed

  • No esp?tcs?

  • its with esp and tc on

  • Not very good for a turbo-kompressor engine...Any owner to tell us how much it costs the ''big'' service?(including kompressor service)

  • 1500kg?hahahahaha
