  • Wow Henning 6-8 miles a day. That's great! Do you walk all 4 on a gangline attached to your waist? Miss seeing everyone at Fairview lately. Hope all is well.

  • @spalombo We're dong fine. Since two of my "girls' are retired from running, we haven't done Fairview in a while. Yes, I walk them on a 4 dog gangline with a mushers belt. I've walked up to six this way. Works great for command and distraction training.

  • hello, how do you deal with all the hairs they shed in the house, i have a huskie myself but dont let him in because he sheds a lot? thank you:)

  • @ALVARADOCOMPTON Vacuum as often as possible. Huskies shed a lot, there's no way around it. I don't get upset about dog hair in the house. It's part of owning one of those furries ;-)

  • Those are some great looking huskies. How many miles do you take them out for each day?

  • @heylookimfat It depends on the temperatures, but somewhere between 6-8 miles per day if I take all 4. If I only take Silver, we go on very long hikes (assuming I have the time) and have done 12-20 miles.

  • @HenningCA Thanks! So three 2 mile walking hikes would be sufficient for a husky if you didn't have time for a longer one?

  • @heylookimfat It depends on your dog, age, physical fitness etc

  • @HenningCA Thanks. Huskies/malamutes are my dream dog but its gonna be a couple years before I'm ready to own one.
