I just found this video, and made the crab cakes and the aioli sauce tonight. We had it on a spinach salad with balsamic tomatoes and beets, and a glass of sauvignon blanc. It was FANTASTIC! I'm sitting here a good thirty minutes later with the taste of that aioli circulating around, and I'm in heaven. Thank you so much for an amazing recipe. Please post more.
Looks incredible! Just picked up some Maryland crabmeat from Ocean CIty, MD and now I know what to do with it! I kept it on ice all the way to Cape Cod.
One thing: I followed your recipe step by step but I still needed to add an extra egg to the crab cake mixture and 4 cloves of garlic was way too much (and this is coming from a garlic lover). Good basic recipe, though.
I made these crab cakes last night & they were fabulous! Not only were we in crab cake heaven, our friends loved them as well!
I did have a small bit of a problem initially, in trying to keep the cakes together but an extra egg + an extra 1/4 cup of panko & all was well with the world again.
