I dont care about your manipulative use of the names of suburbs, it is Constantinople because that was the city was made to be, and the Turks stole it, I dont hate Turks, I hate their ancestors, and believe they should cede all land on the Aegean, and the Sea of Marmara. The Genocide wasnt even against Greeks.....it was against the Armenians, who weren't invading at all, so explain that one. And they weren't trying to take Turkish lands, they were trying to liberate their people, and for a while they had western support for that. The Turks are the ones who took them, they are from the Steppes, originally, along with the Huns...who helped bring down the Western Roman Empire. I dont hate Turks, I hate their ancestors! Just give the land back!

thats no insult istanbul used to be called constantinople and before that carthage after rome was unsuitable as the capital of rome the roman emperor constantine made carthage the capital constantinople (named it after himself) then the turks got the land and their muslam and constantinoble was an cristian citys name so they renamed it to istanbul the reason i explaned all of this to you was to prove the point that knowledge prevents ignorance

i think you misunderstand. Apoth3cary is saying the Turks were originally a Barbarian tribe. which is true but does not mean Turks are still Barbarians. i am a descendant of Anglo-Saxons, who where Barbarians, but that does not mean i am a Barbarian now.

Ataturk, was an horrible person. He did nothing but keep the fire between Greece and Turkey burning, but stopping the Greek from reclaiming their land, which ended in the Turks intentionally burning the Armenian and Greek quarters of Smyrna, a predominantly Christian city. He led the Turks into becoming ever more nationalistic, he was a bad person.

Not imperialism, nationalism. His reforms were discriminating against Greeks, to make then leave, so they could not make the land claim. Thats why today there are more Turks in Greece than Greeks in Turkey, dont believe me, look it up.
