Watching the most recent dem and republican debates, I couldn't help but notice the striking differences between the two sets of candidates.

obama repectful? he just doesn't want to slip, because he knows hillary and john will retaliate. he doesn't even answer the questions and statements that are made. he is just evading, just like if he is president he will evade all the problems that he will face.
so he still hasn't answered why he never chose a side... he is always talking about the "right thing to do," he is too sketchy of a character to become a good president.

Respect? This is a debate, and as a true debator this is about calling out your opponent on their views and what they have done AND said with their career in the past. This is also about stating what you can do differently and how you can do it better than your opponent. Senator Clinton is being truthful to what was said and stated by Obama. She is being respectful by retaliating in the way that she did, especially after the way Obama clearly personally attacks her as a politic.

Watching the most recent dem and republican debates, I couldn't help but notice the striking differences between the two sets of candidates.
Nearly all the republicans, Ron Paul aside, are exceptionally articulate, can think on their feet, make their point coherently and concisely and, generally, come across as being very professional. Plus the discussion was 99% issues.
On the Dem side, well it was embarrassing to watch.

Obama's remarks about Regan which you can find here, not only suggest that Regan was "trans-formative" they suggest that Regan's election was a reasonable response to "excesses" of the 60s and 70s. They are mistaken and probably wrong headed. He does only a little to straighten them out here. He could have just said "oops" I misspoke myself, but instead he throws back all this stuff. He's blowing it.
