I would personally advise very grievously against that style of plug on a motorcycle.. I have used them (in the center tread and ideal circumstances) and only made it a mile crawling before it gave up.. Use the tire plugger (mushroom shaped plugs) I have gone so far as to put them in a sidewall and rode like normal (on a motorcycle).. with not a single problem. I know that I can depend on them to work when I would need them to.
@kary1982v6 Hey thanks for the input. I have never used a mushroom type of plug. I have plugged a tire on 2 separate occasions using this method and have not had a failure, but I have not ridden them for more than 15 miles or so. Either way I do consider them an emergency fix to get to a shop for a new tire.
