This is my favorite scene, it doesn't make me sad, it makes me happy seeing Bambi's mom again, telling Bambi that she'll always be with him, that her spirit is with him, this scene should make you cry with tears of joy, not tears of sadness, rarely is a Disney sequel good, other sequels that are "decent" are Lion King 2, Mulan 2, and Cinderella 3, (unless you're counting Pixar)

This scene reminds me of the scene in The Land Before Time where Little Foot's mom dies, especially when Bambi's mom says "Even though you cant see me, I'm always with you." T^T I wonder if they took inspiration from that TLBT...? Even if they didnt this is still a very touching moment. (I just bought Bambi on Bluray-- the scene where his mom dies made me tear up. T^T)

There is no reason to shot a deer at all! Hunters are the ones that cause the deer population to explode, by shouting the bucks you cause the population to go into panic mode, thats why the deers are breading like crazy, thats why there are so many car ascents with hiting deers on the roads,

Bambi II was one of the few sequels (or midquels in this case) that Disney did right, it actually served a purpose, to bridge the very arupt gap in the original film which was one of my only faults with it, and now this film fixed that. I always watch Bambi I up until his mother's death, watch this film, then the rest of Bambi 1

Well, Ling King 1 1/2 was cute, that's true--I've never seen Little Mermaid 2. But if you're going on "capturing the spirit of the original", The Fox and the Hound 2 missed the mark entirely. The songs are catchy, but guitar strummin' "friendship before fame" story has no place in Tod and Copper's bittersweet story.

Actually for the Great Prince's first two lines, they reused Fred Shields (from the first movie) two lines, as a tribute to the original film, especially with a scene as powerful as that.

But Patrick did a great job as the voice as well. I only wish other Disney sequels could be done with this quality in mind.
