  • Weather it's true suppressed or semi suppressed it don't matter It's more suppressed than anyone has yet to make on the market and for that it's a accomplishment in firearms history for the shotgun.

  • This show is retarded.

  • @ANONONTHEJEWTUBE YOUR CAT IS RETARDED!!8888!88!

  • @ANONONTHEJEWTUBE Your retarded and jealous you can't make and modify cool guns

  • @ShannonMcNab Yeah, I think a stupid show is stupid, therefore I'm jealous.

  • @ANONONTHEJEWTUBE nice to see you admit it. Now don't you feel better.

  • @ANONONTHEJEWTUBE AND SO IS YOUR DOG.... O wait that was your mom....

  • one of the best shows on discovery channel

    Befo

  • Why dont he use bling

  • Put a long barrel on an AA-12, and do this same mod. I would have a gun-gasm!

  • wtf? u can get suppressor for shotguns already on the market... the fuck this guy talking about?

  • @god604 Yes but those shotguns you see in the market barley work. they semi-supress the sound.

  • @god604 Those are semi-suppressors, not true suppressors. These guys created a true suppressed shotgun, which is very impressive.

  • @SlimySnail44 What do you mean 'true suppressed'? 144 decibels is hardly 'true suppressed', whatever thats supposed to mean anyway, and anything over 85 decibels is considered dangerous and will cause hearing loss.

  • I hope those baffles were not the real baffles he put in that shotgun...

  • What's more awesome than that?!

  • another shining example of Mall Ninja: The Show

  • Do this to an AA-12.

  • And they are using the nice and cheap Saiga 12K

  • can we all agree red jackets will voice sounds alot like toys story 3 charactor Lots-O'-Huggin' Bear? just saying..

  • Does anybody else think that Kris is the biggest dickhead on the planet, he contributes nothing, everyone else is far better at their jobs than him and he takes credit for everyone else's work. Basically he's an annoying passenger who's won over the affections of the bosses daughter, which is the only reason he's still on the show.

  • To be honest, I'm pretty sure the customer was expecting quiet little zings, like in the movie. I have a gut feeling that although he did think it looked cool and was indeed quieter than before, it wasn't what he was expecting. I'd say there was definitely a degree of dissatisfaction. How much I don't know, but definitely at least a bit.

  • These guys are screwed without Vince

  • I admire the owners drive to get shit done but he is a dick a lot of the time.

  • The hours worth of paperwork would have stopped all deals lol.

  • Anyone ever read "The Road" by Cormac McCarthy (or see the movie?) ((He also wrote No Country for Old Men, incidentally)) These three kind of strike me as the kind of dudes that would be cruising the road for people to eat.

  • my spas 12 in call of duty is more quiet

  • lol, 3:27, he's picking up the shotgun by the suppressor...

I've broken a pistol suppressor doing the same thing, this thing weighs 3x as much... wtf was he thinking?

  • and if u think a saigas are pieces of shit check out the latest shooting competitions ??? ive never seen shit do so well btw ud never have a shot in hell with her not only bc ur a rude moron but because her father strikes me as the protective type ;) keep up the good work redjacket ur an inspiration to all tht enjoy the 2cnd ammendment and also have me looking into gunsmithing school

  • really well since yall know so much bout suppressing shotguns being that ur all gunsmiths im sure ofcourse and are familiar with the extremly high gas pressures of a 12 guage id love to see some of ur work because redjacket has never failed to impress most non arrogant a holes

  • @Chaset316 Suppressors for shotguns are not new or special.

  • damn i wanna fuck that girl

  • $2500 my fuckin ass!

  • Suppressed shotguns are pretty common in the UK. You can pick up a mossberg 500 with a suppressor for less than £500. I'd say they're quite a bit more effective than this custom concoction too!

  • Shotgun suppressors have been made for years. They just are not nearly as effective. i/e 5-6 decibels lower. The problem comes with the shot needing to clear the suppressor while still venting/slowing the gas. This is usually achieved with a suppressor + custom subsonic shotgun ammo. Which is how they achieved this for the tv show. You can tell at around 8:15 looking at the chamber size of that suppressor...there is no way its that quiet w/o subsonic ammo.

  • Earplugs are cheaper.

  • You are terrorists *_*

  • 2 top comments are haters.. wow

  • Comment removed

  • why not use a over under secondary silenceing chamber with the second being permanantly wet

  • No... Silencer = Supressor.

  • @AllTweakendLong No look it up they're different...

  • Its funny that 75% of these people making comments in this video is about 12 years old and only time they've seen gun is in Call of Duty!. And yes thats true suppressed shotguns are hard to make because of Buck shot ( If u know what a buck shot is i mean REAL! NOT FROM Call of Duty!!) Once more people are making stupid comments on a topic they dont know anything about!

  • 144 Decibels is still pretty loud.

  • will reminds me of someone with downsyndrome

  • fps kyle says these are actors and they dont have a clue what the fuck theyre talking about! dun dun duuuuuunn

  • @Marweezy91 well they do know what they are talking about no one can be a gunsmith just out of no where but it's totality scripted it's the directors that are stupid most likely not them themselves unless they really think this then yes there stupid but fpskyle is stupid as shit to sometimes

  • I am around the weird section of Youtube once more.

  • there are supressed shotguns in call of duty! lol

  • bullshit show...

  • Poop

  • supressed shotgun = spas 12

  • @josh71111 What? I own a spas 12 and that fucker is louder than fucking fuck.

  • @Mastashakenbake then get the supressor

  • You can suppress anything... Even .50 caliber.

  • @headshot992 you cant suppress revolvers

  • @ALBINOCARRO7T

Actually it can be done with certain modifications...

    watch?v=vvF4yurWSc0

  • @ALBINOCARRO7T You can, its just difficult. Unless you use a Nagant revolver.

  • at least you didnt chop that gun up like you do almost all of the other guns you so call "improove"

  • I like how the guys who watch this say its bullshit and all that because theres already supressors for shotguns. But these guys arent on other markets or stores or anything of another selling market. They just worry on theres, and its not like there on youtube watching peaple with there own bought shotgun surpessor, or there home made ones. Fuckin obviouse if you ask me.

  • gp greener made one back in 1911

  • Point is you don't want to be deaf after you shoot that burglar that's breaking into your house within moments, you don't have time to find ear protection less see at night.

  • one of the dumbest shows ever....

I'd never buy a firearm from them seeing how they opperate their shop

  • @KingHonker That must be because you have either common sense or an IQ over 45. My guess is both!

  • Seems like some one is trying to jump on wills band wagon!! Lol!!

  • Jet Suppressors in Aransas Texas is working on a suppressed shotgun. Titanium

  • they paid that guy to come in the shop to ask that

  • isnt 144 still pretty damn loud?

  • @hornedfrog5 Still would need hearing protection.

  • @FiveTwoSevenTHR exactly, so its not really surpressed.

  • @hornedfrog5 It is suppressed just not hearing safe.

  • @FiveTwoSevenTHR so theres no point? u couldnt fire it and hav no one hear it! which is the point of a surpressor.

  • @hornedfrog5 Why would it matter as a civilian?

  • @FiveTwoSevenTHR well what else is this nut case gonna use a surpressed 12 gauge for? hunting?????

  • @hornedfrog5 Do you really think that all guns are going to be used for hunting? Have you come that idiocy that the liberals spew about gun owners?

  • @hornedfrog5

    home defense

  • if anyone is thinking what im thinkin (which is that this guy wants to be like the weirdo from No Country For Old Men) then ur probably also thinking: DONT GIVE THIS GUY THE SURPRESSOR! HE'LL GO ON A KILLING RAMPAGE!!!!

  • is that saiga? :3

  • @8x5t3e7s4r6y Yes it is, I love mine

  • @220phenom They aren't illegal, you just need proper paperwork to manufacture or purchase one. It's about $200 just for that paperwork.

  • first off there is NO WAY he will 'dominate the market' with that piece of shit, secondly there are already shotgun suppressors on the market anyway.

  • @middlemanclayton1 Piece of shit? the shotgun or suppressor? Just wondering BTW

  • @middlemanclayton1 haters gonna hate

  • @middlemanclayton1 Where?

  • @middlemanclayton1 only for 410...for little kids

  • @220phenom did you see the video at 0:05? Suppressor = Silencer

  • So Spas-12 suppressor from black ops is bullshit? i thoght they only put real stuff in cod.

  • @TeamTiick it is a real thing...but its not nearly as quite nor as effective as the game portrays them to be.

  • @TeamTiick real stuff in cod. ;------D

  • suppressed 12 gauge shotgun in the uk for under £500 for once it's better to be british, just this once though.

  • what an artificial "reality" show.

  • Cool show!

  • First suppressed shotgun my ass

  • the guy with the mohawk type hair is an ass kiss

  • holy shit they just built a baffled suppressor that has been around for a long time

  • These guys are probably the biggest joke in the firearms industry, biggest joke in the community.

  • There are screenplays less scripted than this show.

  • the key is in the ammunition, i homeload subsonic ammo that is quiet. i also help others manufacture subsonic ammo. the brits have been usind subsonic ammo and silencers for many decades. one of the added benefits is low recoil. the problem is keeping the shot below supersonic and transsonic speeds. the issue of pressure regulation when speed must be kept down is a huge hurdle to overcome. the good thing about this `tube clip, is that it runs an automatic action, which is no small feat.

  • Thing looks about as handy as a locomotive. 144 db is NOT quiet, and is well beyond the pain threshold of the human ear (130 db). The db scale is logarithmic, not linear. $2500 is a ripoff for a cheap Russian made shotgun with about twenty dollars of tubing attached. And that's being generous. Is this really the best title II manufacturer the Discovery channel could find? The English have been making suppressed shotguns for decades.

  • @bddc201

Even surpressed firearms require ear protection being worn while using it, being that you're using supersonic loads.

"$2500 is a ripoff for a cheap Russian made shotgun with about twenty dollars of tubing attached"

The surpressor, or in your words "twenty dollars of tubing" are required to be registered with the state and have many regulations on their production. Therefore, the price is jacked up.

  • @AGeekWithAShotgun The equipment made in the video is neither quiet, nor innovative, two distinct claims made by the manufacturer. Speaking as one with knowledge of the equipment and industry, I stand by my earlier comments.

  • @bddc201

" Speaking as one with knowledge of the equipment and industry, I stand by my earlier comments."

You still don't understand the blatant fact that surpressing a shotgun is extremely difficult and their $2500 asking price was fairly reasonably considering the difficulty of getting a shotgun somewhat quiet, the quality of Red Jacket firearms and the hassle of converting a Saiga-12.

  • @AGeekWithAShotgun I understand quite well that what they have done is neither difficult nor costly, and $2500 is a huge ripoff for a commie shotgun with some tubing and spray paint. The manufacturer in this video has a habit of overstating his capabilities, in fact, his ignorance is baffling at times. Red Jacket is widely regarded in the Class III community as one huge joke, you don't see any serious players in that community darkening the door of that shop and there's a reason.

  • @AGeekWithAShotgun I'll give you this; the guy in the video seems deliriously happy with his new toy. "Class III community"; doesn't mean license holders exclusively. We obviously disagree on what would be a fair price. All I can tell you is that after over twenty years in the Class III community and even longer as a machinist, there is no way in hell I would buy anything at any price from Red Jacket. Let's see how happy this guy is after three years when his unit is falling apart.

  • @bddc201

You sound like some kind of aristocrat or something. Let be, if he wants to buy a semi-surpressed shotgun at 2500, let him do so; otherwise shut the fuck up.

"We obviously disagree on what would be a fair price."

Speak on the behalf of others, why don't ya?

"Let's see how happy this guy is after three years when his unit is falling apart."

All surpressor fall apart eventually. As the the weapon; it's a kalashnikov. It'll survive the test of time

  • this stupid bitch 'NO SUCH THANG AS A SILENCED SHOTGUN YOU CANT MAKE IT' jesus christ I will never buy a gun from a woman

  • dam id love 2 have this gun but cant afford something like that.. ill stick with my 22 long ruger pistol. :-)

  • Everybody keeps talking Shot... Suppressing a SLUG would be just like a Bullet.

    And Slugs are POWERFUL.

  • Saiga shotguns are about $500 brand new, and all they did was put a big tube around the barrel. How the fuck did that cost $2500?

  • @7SevenProductions0 you have to factor in labor hours he has to pay his employees, materials used to experiment with, tying up his employees from being able to produce already existing units, allow for the unforeseen costs involved, and bump up the price a bit more to allow for profit, no profit...no point, plus that probably includes paperwork and ATF bullshit if needed

  • @deputydillhole Its still a $500 semi automatic shotgun, a metal tube, and some drilling. There's other stuff these guys do on the show that is through the roof expensive, like the AK47 integrated suppressor. He uses $300 Saiga Ak's, and another bit of metal tubing. I think he's just making the profit off the customer not knowing anything about guns.

  • @7SevenProductions0 right but the same can be said of nearly all products sold today......photoshop costs $2500, but only costs Adobe about a buck for some discs and a manual and the cardboard box they put it in.....it's just the sad fact of life, learn to do things yourself or prepare to get reamed

  • i don't doubt that this might have existed before but its like will said in the show. some guns are just semi suppressed and the actual volume isnt even much different. they don't claim to be the first but they were able to lower the decibels to under 150db which is pretty good.

i'd say people are watching too many movies thinking suppressors make guns go 'pew pew pew'. thats fake. real suppressors dont behave like that

  • 144 decibels?

the decibel rating meter equivocates that to standard gunfire which measures 140 db. and 130 is above the human pain tolerance...wtf kind of decibel chart is he reading?

Could someone explain this to me? (and yes I understand that with supersonic ammo a silencer/suppressor/can is only able to do so much, and its not the intended purpose of a silencer to actually silence ammo) but fuck, their talking about a decibel rating that your exposed to at a typical shooting range.

  • @TheJonRom The guy is making shit up. A common practice at Red Jacket. Still not sure wether the guy is just really lazy, ignorant or just plain full of shit. Baffling that this was the best title II manufacturer that the Discovery Channel could find.

  • sweeeeeeeeeet!

  • No baffles in a fucking suppressor? Then adding them makes you revolutionary? Congratulations. You've created something people realized years beforehand. Real clever.

  • What state are these gentlemen men living in?

  • @BountyUFC, I think Louisiana.

  • This show is fucking retarded....

  • 140db is loudest recommended exposure "WITH" hearing protection. A motorcycle is about a 100!!!

And the Deer wont hear wont never hear'em coming??? Rite...FAIL FAIL FAIL.

How do yall buy into that mess...

  • Ayyup.

  • They didn't think to put baffles in the suppressor on the first try?

  • @ralph08ralph They do that for safety reasons. They are not allowed to show on the air how to do work on a gun so they don't get sued. If you want to learn how to be a gunsmith go to school for it.

  • @freshkushunit I always heard good things about these guys and I have people coming up to me like "you should work for red jacket man you know sooo much about guns hurr durr".. they watch this show and this is the first I have seen it and hopefully the last. I feel so sorry for people who would bring their guns to these morons let alone think that these guys are "professionals".I wouldn't let these guys even gaze upon my cheapest gun,a P-64 if they spoke of guns in my presence I would slap them.

  • A Suppressor is not a Silencer.

A suppressor changes a weapon's sound to make it not sound like a gun. It doesn't necessarily "silence" a gun.

  • How do you get this job!!!!!

  • The Finnish were making suppressed shotguns for 60 years. : /

  • now if they would make the lancer form gears of war that would be cool?

  • What? There are tons of videos on youtube of Suppressed Shotguns. They've existed for a long time. This show is retarded.

  • Comment removed

  • Anybody interested in a little read on tactical silenced shotguns just do a google for silence shotguns and click the image to the far right of swat officers. Once you remove the frame, you'll come to an interesting article on silenced shotgun shells, or Telecartridges, that can be used in standard issue shotguns.

  • "...and I've got a whole new market to dominate."

Did that not scream PATENT to anyone else?

  • Suppressed shotguns existed before this show did.

    :/

  • @99LOLWUT do you know how long it takes to make a season?

  • @LimitedCreativity They still did.

  • @LimitedCreativity

    Look, 2 years ago.

    /watch?v=-cz8uZWtt3Q

    There it is.

It's not a 12 gauge, sure, but it's existed before this show started production.

  • @99LOLWUT it did exist but there's a rather large difference. I'm not trying to back up the show as it gives a bad name for the firearms industry, but the amount of gas released by a 12 gauge is drastically different from a .410.

  • @99LOLWUT the problem to the 410 suppressed is that the gas on a 410 isnt even close to a 12 gauge gas blowout... u have 3 times as much powder in the cartridge of a 12 gauge so building a 410 suppressor is just about as easy as building a ar 15 suppressor

  • @99LOLWUT Wow both top comments are yours. o.O

  • @99LOLWUT but that's not a 12G, that a .410.

  • @99LOLWUT They actually made this silencer before the show started.

  • @99LOLWUT So did everything else they made.....

  • @99LOLWUT he said they werent bery good supressors

  • @99LOLWUT people have been putting silencers on 12 gauges for years this is the first one that actually works

  • @99LOLWUT they existed sure but only on a very limited scale but red jacket did a great job on this thing and you would be very hard pressed to find one done r9ght before this show.

  • @99LOLWUT he said so, dummy !!!!

  • He must do thicker silencer not longer with barrel holes begining smaller to bigger i think .maybe double metal cover with isolation material between .

  • @ASSIMPORTER I believe they kept the barrel at that length so the gun itself would not be an NFA item just the silencer.

  • This is fucking tits...double ds

  • ACAB, BOLTS ALL DAY LOL THIS GUY IS MAKING GUNS FOR LAW ENFORCEMENT AND WHAT NOT HAHAHAH THIS SHOW IS A JOKE IF IVE EVER SEEN ONE

  • what an awesome investment that will still cause hearing loss and is audible from a mile away.

  • "People don't make suppressed shotguns, because they can't"

No. Because its a pointless idea. Anyone can make a suppressor for a 12 gauge. The US Govt. did this exclusively for SAD and SOG in the 1960s. The USSR and the French also Created multiple suppressor systems. Great Job Sons of Guns, you've just made the ignorant people in the US that much more Ignorant.

  • @griff323 Unless your making a movie. Then it makes all the sense in the world, LOL!

No really, I agree 100% with your point. Suppression is by nature stealth and accuracy (sniper or special ops small arms), and a shotgun is by nature not stealth (riots, stopping or cornering criminals who might flee if they think your aim sucks, killing birds, etc.) Just 1 layman's 2 cents.

  • lol he makes firearms for cops but yet has an ACAB tattoo behind the ear

  • what show is this

  • @tehBLAX sons of guns

  • WOA I DID THE SAME THING WITH MY SPAS IN BLACK OPS I PUT A SILENSER ON IT AND I GOT LOTS OF KILLZ IN NUKETOWN SLIENSED SHOTYZ RAPE!!!

  • And further more....you don't build guns..... you modify them. There is a slight difference! lol!

  • @caribbeanchild the Americans have done that for many years now. The Europeans invented the tank. They improved it. We made the first jet engine. They improved it. We made the first rockets. And again... They even stole our idea of a republic and changed it.

  • @Prinsgezindepatriot As long as you don't say they improved on the idea of a republic because that would be a lie, "hey you can vote for this guy or that guy but their politics are basicly the same"...any independant politicians have 0 chance in the US system. less options = voters compromise more on their ideals.

  • @Nizzemancer ofcourse that didnt change for the better. As is their constitution: all men are equal under od, exept for blacks, azians, commies, the poor, and everyone else who didnt share the ideas of the americans. And ofcourse, segregation of the churche and the politics are unspeakeble in america.

  • @Prinsgezindepatriot Says the man using the internet.(American) Oh and you kinda need electricity (American) and something called the industrial revolution (American) to even comprehend the idea of a tank/jet. Whats your point? America wouldn't be here if it weren't for Europe, and Europe wouldnt be here if it werent for Africa... And long ago, it was all one continent. We stand on the shoulders of giants. By your logic, everyone copied the first ape to pick up a stone and use it as tool.
