Evolution can go backwards, sections of dna and genes can be turned on or off by other sections of dna. If the 'tail gene' is turned off in humans then theres a chance a future generation could possibly have a mutation to reactivate it. @robertwc82 this actually disproves evolution. If this WAS a transitional form, we'd see much more then we do, and they wouldn't still be around. They would have died "thousands of years ago."
There's a reason the theory of evolution is still referred to as a THEORY. It's because it hasn't, and can't, be proved.

1. I don't want to argue because it never solves anything. I have witnessed VERY SOLID EVIDENCE first hand that there is a God over everything, and his son Jesus is our only hope of ever seeing him face to face.
2. Evolution never happened, there is no evidence that it has happened/is happening and I think it's safe to say that there never will be. Evolution was disproved MANY years ago.
3. I do not follow the pope. I am Christian, not Catholic.

1. Evolution is a theory because it cannot be scientifically observed. Gravity and cells, however, can. Evolution was based on the foolish ambitions of a man who wanted to find a way to rebel against Christianity, which was prominent in that time.
2. I have met people who have spoken in tounges, I have seen people miraculously healed due to the prayers of the church, and the Bible is very scientifically accurate, and it was written LONG before people actually studied it.

wrong. Charles Darwin already proved the existence of evolution. Natural selection, gene selected breeding are all resulted from evolution. Why else would farmer cross breed some animals with another to create new kinds??
Also selected breeding of Tiger and Lions creates Liger, and this experiment was down to produce a new species using founded facts from genetic study with evolution of as a basis.
You fail miserably in your argument.

a dermal appendage is just skin (dermal tissue) and fluid, you need muscle to move body parts. anomalous growths don't have muscle, and they don't have bone, as it looked like this guy may have had.

although evolution will not "go backwards" in the sense that our species will not go back to having a tail, because the forces that be, long ago, "decided" that as humans we don't need tails. BUT, this instance is not a case of evolution at all. this is a random mutation. DNA sequences that code for tails may be left over from millions of years ago, but not activated in most people. and for some reason his was activated. it's only evolution when a species changes, not just one individual.

How can it be said that the presence of this "tail" brings us tangibly and inescapably to the reality of evolution if we cannot exclude the possibility that it is nothing more than an adermal appendage coincidently located in the caudal region? As a matter of fact, even a superficial reading of Ledley's article makes clear that this so-called tail was no tail at all but was nothing more than an anomalous growth coincidentally located in the caudal region.

Evolution is still just a theory...most science can't be proven as fact just more or less accepted through the scientific method. Even the most well known things such as the laws of gravity are just "theory" and not fact. Sure whatever scientists looked into this found out that it doesnt fit evolution..but that's only the current theory of evolution...it's still just a theory and stating the tail doesn;t prove that theory doesn't render the tail useless (cont)

This was debated greatly in the 80's- There is no chance of what was concluded, to be wrong- What is there to debate. Well it depends here...because if you mean this video specifically was debated in the 80's then okay this case study may indeed not be a tail..I wasn't there so I can argue either way. However vestigial tails have indeed been proven to exist..in many seperate cases...bringing us to the question...why is it there and where did it come from. So there is no misleading what so ever...since noone has come up with an answer to tell people yet..

All living orgainsims on earth have evolved over the same amount of time. We consider ourselves more advanced, but intelligence is only one adaption. Other organims have developed equally complex adaptions to different systems. Multi cellular organisms actually evolve slower because their population is smaller and it can take years to mature and reproduce, as well as lots of resources and energy, bacteria have a strong evolutionary advantage.

This is how evolution works. Whether you like it or not thats a tail. Wether it was created by the same genes that create tails in other species or entirely by accident it is still the same phenotype. And if this individual was selected for then he may well create a subspecies of humans with tails (unlikely but possible.) That would throw a wrench in creationist explanations...
(not like they can look at dogs and go "There is obvious evidence here natural selection works, must be a conspiracy.)

Evolution can go backwards, sections of dna and genes can be turned on or off by other sections of dna. If the 'tail gene' is turned off in humans then theres a chance a future generation could possibly have a mutation to reactivate it. The only problem is that once a gene is turned off in a species for a long time it tends to degrade and eventually disapear entirely.
