What they don't mention is that the "paid" education was from the Naval Academy. Anyone has a chance of getting their education paid for via the Service Academies and its not a cake walk. They can expect 20 credit hour semesters and little free time. So yeah he got through college without any actual debts or fees but he worked his ass off to get it.

McCain doesn't want enlisted people to get an education, because then they may be able to move up to better opportunities. This is exactly the same as when the Republican party works to keep wages low, so people never get ahead. After all, if the hired help gets an education, they may provide competition for the privileged.

Great ad! McCain has voted against funding VA health care 29 times. He opposed the Webb/Hagel GI Bill, but took credit for it after it passed. Iraq and Afghanistan Veterans of America (IAVA) gave him a D for his voting record. Disabled American Veterans (DAV) gave him a score of 20 (out of a 100). The only veterans group that likes McCain at all is VFF, and that is only because he pays them. Even the VFW and the American Legion have come out against McCain.
