Those of you wondering the FCS national Championship game is played in Chatnooga, TN. The TN Waltz is a salute to winning there. The tune has taken on new meanig to us over the last few years. It means time for a victory dance. It is becoming an ASU traditon.

As a member of the band from 1986-89; the TN Waltz has been part of the post game show as long as I can remember. It truly is a wonderful song and an honor to play.

Had no idea we have been playing it that long. First I remember hearing it was around the time the championship game was moved to Chat.

Didn't miss many home games from 1977-1995, moved away and haven't been but to a couple since then.

Anyway, thanks for serving in the band. We didn't always win back then but our band always put the other school's to shame. school's.

We do play Carolina Pride during our pregame show. However, the TN Waltz has always been a tradition for the Marching Band to play. The TN border is extremely close to the school and I imagine that's how it was originally worked into our repertoire.
