We kno Tai, Davis, Takato, Takuya and Markus will appear but is the facts that Mimi, Matt, Rika, Kouji, and T.K. will appear true? It'd probably be interesting to see a tai and matt fight Taiki and Kiriha. a battle between Omnimon and Shoutmon DX... add Davis and Ken with that. Also Davis can't even get to palidramon with out ken, however takuya could just be given the spirits and Tai and Davis could for this universe have the other digimon needed with digi-xros replacing DNA digivolution. Personally I hope Takato also gets beelzemon.

@boohoo723 season 2 is a direct sequel to season 1 with the characters reappearing alongside the new main characters. Same with the 6th and 7th ones.

The 3rd season could be either way as they reference the first 2 seasons a lot meaning the first 2 seasons could be just a game and show to the 3rd season characters OR they actually co-exist and the third gen team merely only knows about the first 2 seasons through fiction. =p

@boohoo723 With that said, I bet Digiquartz (the place where they catch digimons and where the Clockmaker is) might be a Digital Crossover world, an interconnection between all the Digiworlds like Adventure Digiworld, Tamers Digiworld, Frontier Digiworld and Savers Digiworld. Why they only showed Tai and Masaru? Both have the same digimon (although different versions), Tai was the first leader and Masaru is the rule breaker (older than the previous ones, no googles) and the last one.
