I've always hated this character. He's truly in love with the sound of his own voice, and probably his reflection. They should take away his scenes and give then to Captain Cragen. He is 50 times the actor that this shithead is.
ok i just watched mulan last night and I can't see him as shang even though I know he did the voice. Shangs voice seems deeper somehow or something like that, i dunno just different. Maybe because wong was younger then...
so funny - I watched Mulan too and I youtubed him b/c I could not believe that he did Shang's voice. I think the main thing for me was more the accent than the tone of the voice ... I always though, esp. through watching him on SVU all these years, BD had a specific accent about him that just wasn't there with Shang's sort of immaculate voice. I don't know. It's strange. I'd love to see him do some behind-the-scenes voicework on Mulan b/c I still don't believe it! haha

He talked about being a Chinese American, his acting, his son and about being gay. He has been on numerous movies and received many awards for his role in M Butterfly. There are a few clips of him in that role here on you tube. He's a good man who is trying to make a difference.
This show is the reason I'm studying Forensic Psychology. I had originally intended upon just studying Psychology and seeing where it took me, then I started watching SVU at the end of season 2..specifically the episode "Pique" and I said that's it..thats what I want to do..and here I am well on my way to becoming a Forensic Psychologist.
