This music LIVES 22 years later. This was when every group had the most bangin' dancers. We used to tape their videos then try to emulate what we saw. Although, some of those moves could be tough, like the one at 2:03. I could never get that one. This was stuff you could do in front of your parents without a second thought. Damn, this seems like an eternity ago. What a shame how music has lost it's thrill.
As of this past Monday GUY is back together. So get ready for them to drop their fourth album next year. Also, if you are in the Southern California area, they will be performing at the Gibson Amphitheater October 24, 2010. TRUST! IT'S ABOUT TO BE ON!
I never noticed but Damion is handling them drums. It's weird how the truelly talented people, can be creative in more than one aspect. I guess that is what it takes to make it to the top.
@dejsmith2000- Oh yeah! And Aaron Hall doesn't just sing and write either, he plays alot of instruments too, all 3 of them get down with the instruments. GUY is the bomb!! They're comin!!
I almost forgot I'm in a wheelchair, I almost jumped our my chair & started dancing. I wasn't in a wheelchair when this was out. those were the days of MUSIC AND CREATIVITY
You ain't lyin'! I remember when mofos had to have a voice. That and Concepts made the difference in everything. Teddy Riley WUZ the stuff! Aaron Hall. . . was iler than the traxx then. Check out Beck and tell me what the new one's like. I saw a vudeo in Japan, but it's Back, so tell me what it's like.
Great Scott! This is a fantastic video! This song takes my mind back instantly to the wild fun 1980's party nights. This song sounds great live, and I like it alot more now than I did back in 1988. The beautiful back up singers are excellent! I'm seeing this Appollo episode for the first time, because when this was first aired, I'm sure I was out in the clubs going "Round and Round"!
Especially the dancer on the left, you know he had more rhythm! I use to kill these moves at the clubs back in the day d:) swingbeat is sorely missed!
Great song, at the same time it was not a good choice for a second single. It really should have been "I Like" or "Teddy's Jam" to follow-up "Groove Me". But guess what, their CD sold a grip copies regardless and ya can't change the past. The entire CD was bangin'!!!
I like this song a lot but "I Like" would have been a great single. That is one of my favorite Guy songs ever. Nonetheless, like you said, the whole CD was good.
