What game was this? What are they referring to? Was it the end of 1977 when Chelsea were promoted? And you may remember Jimmy Hill going on as linesman whilst working for The Big Match, in a match at Highbury, the linesman was taken ill and they asked for a qualified linesman to take over, Jimmy stuck his hand up and I believe he came down onto the pitch in a red track suit,

jimmy came up with world of sport(i think) & the 1st world cup panel....i think he also did the big match 1st...brian came from radio to tv.

Jimmy Hill and Brian Moore did the Big Match together untill Jimmy left for the BBC to front the Match of the Day program from season1973-74. Jimmy once commentated on the Brighton v Chelsea cup tie from 1972-73 when Brian Moore was ill with flu. They were a great partnership when on the Big Match
