  • That's not Gulbis???That's Ivan Lendl....Hello

  • He needs to practice his wolleys

  • i hate this guy since he beat federer

  • Love how he talks about his violation for throwing his racket into the fans... as if the reasons for this were utterly mysterious

  • Gulbis is the most mentally weak player on the mens tour. So much talent but the guys a complete headcase.

  • @Nigelxman.I have to agree with you.So much talent, but his biggest problem is mental. He is the only guy who pushed Rafa last year to three sets on clay....Anyway, i think he's hot.He is 6'3, good looking, talented and has a great sense of humor.I love his voice too.I hope he gets it together and doesn't become another Safin.

  • @vlovesrafa safin won two slams...i dunno if gulbis can do it

  • @Csibon13.You are right.I mentioned Marat because he could have won more majors if he was committed and worked harder....But Gulbis continues to disappoint. He just lost in the first round at Roland Garros and has poor results so far this year.Tennis is more of a hobby for him than a profession. All the commentators say his father is a billionaire. That may have alot to do with it.

  • @vlovesrafa Sorry for the delayed comment but Gulbis can only DREAM about having as good a career as Safin. :-) Gulbis has much talent but he really doesn't care enough about tennis because daddy is incredibly rich.

  • @Nigelxman .That is very true.It is a shame though because Gulbis would be great for the game.Case in point,he went out in the first round at Wimbledon.I think he tanks alot of matches because he just doesn't care.Yes.Marat did win majors.....Boy i still miss him alot.

  • @vlovesrafa Totally agree with you. It just frustrates me to see such a talented player who lacks the fire and determination to win. And yeah. Safin was fun to watch and such a character! I still remember him absolutely destroying Sampras to win his first major at the U.S. Open. Marat was kind of similar because he's so good looking and he always had his harem of hot women in the stands waiting to hook up with him after the match. hehe

  • @Nigelxman .Once again.Ditto...I remember that match against Pete.In fact, i still have it on vhs...Yes.The stories about Marat and his women are notorious. One year he showed up with sexbombs in his box in Australia.Mary Carillo dubbed them " the boxo bimbos".Marat is also known as a party guy who will lay down with anything with a skirt. He and Gulbis are very similar.Ernest was arrested for soliciting a swedish prostitute a few years ago....Gulbis still has some time because he's young.

  • @vlovesrafa I remember that Australian Open with the "Box Bimbos". :-) Getting off topic, who do you think Murray has a chance against Rafa tomorrow? I love Rafa and I hope his foot's ok but I think it will be a very close match. I'm really excited about Tsonga/Djoker! If Tsonga can play as well as he did against Fed, I honestly think he can win the match. It should be interesting. It's been a fun Wimbledon. I'm going with Novak to surprise everyone and win it all. :-)

  • @Nigelxman.Murray definitely has a good chance against Rafa.Rafa's first order of business is to take the crowd out of it by getting an early lead. But i think this one will be close. It may go to 4 tight sets or even 5.I am hoping Rafa prevails. He is my favorite player of all time...If Tsonga can come back and play the way he did against Roger and not have a let down,he can beat him.If he doesn't play well Novak will win in straights. The final will probably be Rafa v. Novak...Vamos Rafa!!!!!!

  • @vlovesrafa I was really hoping Rafa could take it to a 5th but all the credit in the world to Novak for playing a great match. There's no question he is the best player in the world right now and deserves the #1 ranking. I just wish his parents weren't so obnoxious. :-) Rafa will come back strong. No doubt about that.

  • @Nigelxman.My prediction was correct.I wanted Rafa but i figured Novak would win in 4 sets.Yes.Novak is having the best year of his career so far.He deserves the number 1 ranking and the Wimbledon title.8 titles and 2 majors.JUST INCREDIBLE!!!...Yes.Novak's parents are annoying.Especially his mother. She told the press that Roger was "washed up" in 2008.In a match a few years ago Roger actually told them to shut up from the court....No doubt Rafa will come back strong.

  • I like this guy. His sense of humor is similar to Dmitry Tursunov's. :)

  • Gulbis is a spoiled brat born into a millionaire sporting family. His talent is on par with that of Federer and Murray, but it seems likely he will never realize it. Too concerned is he with chasing Swedish hookers - for which he got arrested last year.

But it's just as well: he is an arrogant prick, this everyone knows by now... No-one needs yet another asshole in the top 10.

  • @FedorEight why are you such a hater, no one knows who the heck you are so u know what, go and hug some electric pole

  • Racket throwing is inexcusable: the ATP should enact and enforce a rule against it before someone is injured. Misbehavior on court seems perhaps all the more galling from a spoiled son of privilege like Ernests Gulbis.

  • @en9nui what u mean enforce a rule? There are rules against it already and if he would have hit a spectator he would have been defaulted, as usual.

About he being spoiled, although he did have a privileged upbringing doesn't mean he's an idiot who doesn't fight for his career and his own thing. 2010 proves that point to perfection. Besides he's only 22 though...

  • classic eastern European with a fantastic dry sense of humor

  • I love that guy ! I can't believe I didn't notice him before this year !

I'm sure he'll be in the top 10.. maybe in the top 5 ! he's in mine, anyway

  • Gulbis has exclenet winner balls but he stills miss some relative easy balls

  • Ha ha, he is a charming guy, can't deny that! Guess those are his grandfather's genes coming through (Uldis Pūcītis), cause that man was larger than life.

I agree to whoever said he is lazy. Guess it's hard to have motivation when you come from such a rich family, but Thank God he has finally come to his senses and started to actually practice (kudos to his coach!!!).

  • must have grown up watching safin interviews

  • lmao he's a lot like marat safin!

  • Ernests the best!

  • gulbis is good... but hes very lazy.... he has all the traits that would make a great player he just doesnt know how to put it together. but then again he has nothing to lose since he comes from an affluent family.

  • You HAVE to admire him! :) What a positive player he is :) Good luck in the future,Ernests!

  • it's latvian accent because his latvian :)

  • it's latvian accent because his latvian :)

  • i play there every week : )

  • well not wanting to pay a 2000$ fine is a good excuse for not throwing your racket higher lol i never knew they did that in tennis.

  • gulbis is the man
