  • Disputed region between India and Pakistan? Thought this song would be about Preston or Bradford. Where's Jimmy's Danelectro gone?

  • @mrdiscus66 He used the "No 2" Les Paul in 1975.

Kashmir is a small area inbetween India and Pakistan. And the name of a soft fabric.

  • did you mean at 8:38?

  • Epic Performance.

  • i have a way different night on dvd

  • Omg! This is #20 on the 100 Hardest Rock Songs countdown...I love this song, but honestly I dont really think its that hard, like heavy hard.

  • the studio version is harder compared to some of the live stuff if you want "hard" i guess, but yeah its still great rock song

  • Yea it really is great :D

  • ..Oops it was #21

  • I think Page should be ranked with the best and i dont mean Hendrix and Blackmore i mean Mozart and Beethoven.

  • haha best comment ive seen

  • "Ladies we feel loose and easy" Omg lmao I love that!!! <3

  • I love bonzo's headbang at the end!!

  • Bonzo's on fire, man!!!

  • underground

    video right here

  • Favorite version of Kashmir!

    A+!

  • In terms of sound the Knebwoth version was better but i prefer the earls court version because of the way the stage is set up and how they're dressed adds to the mysticism of the song in my opinion

  • so you prefer what they're wearing rather than the performance.... right?

  • No i just prefer this era because this was the peak of their stage magic, all of the 75 shows captivated me more than any of the others but the o2 show was their career highlight!

  • I don't agree with you, yes, the 02 show was fantastic, but carrer highlight!!, I don't think so, have you ever heard Eddie, FBO, Offenburg, Burn Like a Candle, Osaka 71', man those shows blows the 02 away, you've got to hear them to believe them.....

  • Youre right these bootlegs were great but something about the o2 just clicked it sounded like they were young again of course Bonzo wasnt there but Jason gained his spirit.

  • o2 was an astounding feat, but you've got to think Led Zeppelin died with Bonzo's death, he's the best drummer ever :)

Check out my channel for some great zeppelin goodies, will start posting videos sometime soon :)

  • "blow a whistle if you can when we take you to" - bonham says "home"..

  • ... Oh, father of the four winds, fill my sails, Across the sea of years, With no provision but an open face, Along the straits of fear.

  • Where have The Nobs been all my life?

    Zep rules!

    peace:-)

  • I believe you're right, LittleMrJimmyJr. I haven't seen this entire concert in months, so I forgot that his primary Les Paul didn't have the cream humbuckers. If I remember correctly, you can also see his various Les Pauls backstage in a few shots.

"White Summer" was indeed in DADGAD tuning, but he didn't play that song on this tour. He used the Danelectro for "In My Time of Dying" which was in DGDGBD live, EAEAC#D in the studio.

  • it is not a dispute between india and kashmir but the question of 15 million kashmiris right of self determination and freedom from indian oppression and brutality.

  • Awesome! "Disputed Region Between India and Pakistan" is probably my favorite Nobs tune.

  • Does anyone else think it's kind of strage seeing Page play this on his Les Paul?

  • yup he usually plays it on the danelectro dosent he?

  • he first played it in the Les Paul,

but on 1977, he switched it to the Danelectro

  • He played it on the danelectro in 77 and 79 when Zepp started combining it with White Summer/Black Mountain.

  • it seems rare, but i think it looks more "vintagey" and kool (=

  • In 1975, Jimmy used the Danelectro to play In My Time of Dying which was in Open G tuning (DGDGBD), as opposed to Kashmir which is in Open Dsus4 (DADGAD) tuning, so he was forced to use his Les Paul for this song on this tour. If I remember correctly, No Quarter came after Kashmir which allowed Jimmy to tune back to standard tuning during the lengthy intro.

  • The Led Zeppelin DVD Dissapointed me This Should Have been on There

As Well As many other things I've seen from "The Nobs".

But these are all Undisputibly Amazing videos Thank You Shadowman6901.

  • Plant may be a little bit more sharp as compared to the rest of the band but it seems fine for everything else

  • Kashmir sounded much better in '77.

  • It's the Mellowtron that Jonesy is playing that is out of tune....it had tapes that ran through it producing the sound....when hot they would distort....I've read that JPJ absolutely DREADED playing it

  • plants voice is completely fucked up in most of 75 but really good in 68-73 and a great come back in 77 and 79

  • i was thinking so, but if you watch the video close enough you can see age is doing a really heavy vibrato, so that may be it

  • infact, now that i've listened to it a few more times...they ARE out of tune. still sounds awesome though

  • not really.

    watch really close at 00:21

    ;)

    Peyge is doing vibratos..

  • yeah thats what i am saying...Its not as out of tune as the 24th though.

  • Kashmir was so much better on this night than the 24th. the 24th Page's vibrato was so strong it made the song sound out of tune

  • said like a true know-nothing

  • the nobs rock

  • this is an excellent cover done by who else, my favorite band the Nobs!

  • Light Legion between Astral and Celestial

    ♥

  • shadowman, you really kick ass man !!!

  • claude would be proud!

  • Rock on The Nobs lol! ;)

  • yeah, the sure pull of that Zep song prtty well, lol.
