Engineering and 3D Modeling with Autodesk, Office work with iWorks AND Microsoft Office. Games from Valve and Blizzard. If Apple is so far behind their competition why are they selling hex core cpu's, ATi 5870's, and up to 64 gb of DDR3 @ 1666?
@trancecrafter Professional media developers (worked w. plenty) and recording studios (everyone I have recorded in had one). The point wasn't money, it was they do use the latest technology. Most people switch because Windows isn't what they need. I think the foolish people are the ones with clunky plastic "eye sores" and laptops that only get a couple hours of life before huddling to an outlet. Macs fit peoples needs and style while still performing the same functions. So what else you got?

@trancecrafter My drummer runs a Pro Fire 2626 in with a rack mount PC running Cubase and works great. But the deal is, it's what works for the end user. I paid the extra for a compact light computer, that doesn't need an outlet every few hours, and can do the same job(s). If I want the power I will build a Hackintosh, dual boot Windows and spend half the money. The Mac is a great OS and it shouldn't be dismissed nor is a fail. I checked out your channel and liked what I heard.

Most PC users will agree with you that Vista was a bad idea and were upset with M$ (even after they re-released it). But XP and Win 7 have been the best M$ OS.
Apple made this same type of screw-up with the iPad. All of my Apple friends are pissed off with it and think it's the dumbest release Apple has put out (much like Vista).
M$ overcharges for their operating system and office suite, Apple overcharges for their computers. And both companies making shitty mistakes. Neither one is perfect.
Anyone complaining about the cost of Windows should be buying OEM versions to begin with. They cost about $150 bucks LESS.
Apple, on the other hand, overcharges for EVERYTHING, which is evident in the fact that a 17" Macbook with a meager dual-core CPU, slow-ass 1066Mhz DDR3 RAM and piss-poor, obsolete video cards costs $2499. A laptop with those specs should cost no more than $1000 bucks.
And yes, the iPad is the worst blunder in Apple's long and dismal history of fuckups.

If I want the power I will build a Hackintosh, dual boot Windows and spend half the money. The Mac is a great OS and it shouldn't be dismissed nor is a fail. But, to so vaguely state a product is terrible, is ridiculous. By the way I don’t follow America’s pop music, I’m a metal musician, but I’m guessing it’s because they’re “fad” bands? My friend........my little friend, my business requires me to work with Macs all the time. I personally have NONE in my company, but I work with some of the most advanced design firms in the world, and they've bought into the Mac nonsense. I also run Snow Leopard via VMWare on my PC for educational purposes, AND I've just tested out the latest iMacs.
Needless to say, I have more Mac knowledge in my little finger than you'll amass in 3 lifetimes. Thank you for "ass"uming.

Ummmm, no. Windows 7 DOESN'T slow down if you set it up properly. I should know, I've been running them on a total of 15 computers for over a year with ZERO slowdown, including my workstation which I don't turn off, EVER.
No, it doesn't require a "few maintenance programs to fix the registry" (pffft!) unless you're one of the idiots who deletes whole program folders instead of uninstalling programs.
You've been using Windows BADLY for 7 years or so.

You should also read CNET's head-to-head comparison of Bootcamped Windows 7 vs. Snow Leopard on the same Macbook Pro. W7 kicked the living snot out of SL and destroyed it on its own native Mac hardware.
Windows 7 doesn't slow down over time. If you fuck it up like a moron, THEN it slows down. Some basic computer knowledge keeps Windows running perfectly and flawlessly for years.
I should know, I do it every day.

Not to mention that industry professionals have proven that Macs are the most easily-exploitable computers in the world.

Most PC users will agree with you that Vista was a bad idea and were upset with M$ (even after they re-released it). But XP and Win 7 have been the best M$ OS.
Apple made this same type of screw-up with the iPad. All of my Apple friends are pissed off with it and think it's the dumbest release Apple has put out (much like Vista).
M$ overcharges for their operating system and office suite, Apple overcharges for their computers. And both companies making shitty mistakes. Neither one is perfect.

Anyone complaining about the cost of Windows should be buying OEM versions to begin with. They cost about $150 bucks LESS.
Apple, on the other hand, overcharges for EVERYTHING, which is evident in the fact that a 17" Macbook with a meager dual-core CPU, slow-ass 1066Mhz DDR3 RAM and piss-poor, obsolete video cards costs $2499. A laptop with those specs should cost no more than $1000 bucks.
And yes, the iPad is the worst blunder in Apple's long and dismal history of fuckups.
