In the only place where it might give a hint of wealth it says he became poor.

She mentioned something like say this prayer. If you said it now you're saved no matter what. Then she said Jesus didn't die just to save us from hell, but... and all this blah, blah, blah. It was sickening, but I'm sure millions were watching. I was dumbfounded.

You know the term pharisee gets misused and abused so many times and this is one of those times. Pharisees were not Christian, they didn't practice what they preached.

So just be careful not to use it when you don't know the intentions of a person or you don't know the person on a personal level.

In any case, Friel has admitted to be nit picky certain times and this isn't necessarily bad.

Christ says that there will always be poor people, but Christ will only be here for a short while. It also says, seek Christ while he can be found. As if both of these verses could also be used in our time. So why focus on being rich and poor. We should seek the Kingdom Of God and His Righteousness and everything will be given. But if we focus on being rich, we're doing things backwards and trying to obtain things through our strength, not God's.
