I live in toronto and have lots of Portuguese friends...lots of Pork Chops in toronto and from what i've heard Boston has a large Portuguese community...i've been to Boston - very beautiful city!!!

@quincee33 - Well, the Portuguese are mainly situated in the Fall River and New Bedford, Massachusetts areas. Many Portuguese in Bristol, Rhode Island and throughout the state.

I used to live there in "89". Visiting Itailians told me the local Itailians were using slang from the 1920's. It was still pretty authentic feeling then;gutted rabbits hanging on hooks outside the butcher shop, good homemade Itailian ice sold on the streets, lots of good food,people and shops. The locals would say that the mafia kept the crime rate down. Parking was always hard and if you parked over night in the wrong place, Like I did once, you may find your tires slashed.
