I didn't even feel anything emotionally for the first week or so. I guess, like you said, I didn't know what to think. It only hit me later while I was just staring at the ceiling in the bed, realizing that he was actually gone.

@PrUnEJuIcEtHeThIrD I went through a similar thing, it was my grandfather too and it was very unexpected, I went through the motions for a week without any emotion at all, I agreed to sing at his funeral and two days before that I was sitting in my room just listening to music and browsing the internet and suddenly I just started to cry. Needless to say it was one of the worst days of my life standing by his casket singing but I'm so glad that I did it, it was the perfect way to say goodbye.
