  • HAPPY 67TH BIRTHDAY ROD!

  • charlies angels :')

  • Wonderfull! So beautifull as the Hendrix's original.

  • Je suis fan!

  • It's not only his voice I love - I'm crazy about his haircut too, it's SO cool!!! Spiky rooster, or hedgehog, or whatever they call it :D Look at him when he sings "Silver wings silhouetted...."!

  • interesting shoot: conga/glockenspiel/hendrix cutout ...

  • trop bon,

    trop de Rod sur Youtube..

j'peux pas passer mon temps à le regarder..

    et la bouche ouverte !!

    lol

    Merci celles/ceux qui font partager..

et à Rod, of course !!

  • en todo el mundo la buena musica continuara despues del holocausto.

  • Cool cover of Jimi's song, love it.

  • It´s a Jimi Hendrix cover!

  • i thought Bob Dylan wrote this

  • @NowMyPoundsHaveRunOu - I've double-checked with Wikipedia - Hendrix wrote it.

  • @Butterfly1Blue Wikipedia isn't that reliable, just so you know.

  • @Butterfly1Blue great research bro!

  • HOt!

  • Faces were a deadly band. Too bad they got all shagged up and never continued.

  • awesome cover

  • as much as i'm a stones fan...i feel sorry for this, ron had an amazing chemistry with rod and those faces songs embraced him as another key part of the band....then when he joined the stones he became some backup guitar player with very few soulful stuff to play to, only few..VERY few tunes afterwards but nothing as inspiring as this :(

  • @theachtungtree - couldn't agree more.

  • @Butterfly1Blue yeah...pretty sad uh? sometimes i wonder what does he thinks about this....i know he wanted to join the stones before but i really would like to know,he clearly notices that he was one of the main guys on the faces and being such a tight band live also cause the stones tend to be a bit sloppy (with mick taylor they were less sloppy...but still sloppy), it's weird

  • @theachtungtree You're right as far as it goes BUT he did join 'The Greatest R&R Band in the World". So I ask you which is better, to be a good guitarist in a band destined to fade away over time (break-up etc.) or join the biggest band in the world and play rhythm guitar behind Keith Richards for as long as you want to??

  • aaaaaarrrrgh.....

  • JIMI > Rod

  • Classic

  • rod reminds me abunch of noel feilding haha

  • HAPPY 66TH BIRTHDAY ROD - 10 JANUARY

  • EPIC FAIL @ 1:19 ...the sign states that Jimi Hendrix died 28 years old, when ev'rybody knows he was 27 !!! Just Hate f-ing "typo's" so f-ing much !!!! :( :( :(

  • @Dickster6913 learn to love life, don't get so uptight over a typo, grow up and chill out.

  • @Dickster6913 i hear that brotha, typos are one thing, but in the context of Jimi, it's much more upsetting.

  • Good morning, do you like sixties? Listen and pod cast my program " great sound of 60' s " on the site plumfm. Greeting and made blooper in rock and roll. Salut, vous aimez les sixties ? Ecoutez et podcatez mon émission "le super son des sixties" sur plum fm. Salut et faites gaffe au rock'n roll

  • Jimi Hendrix is the best hands down, but i like this version better... (Jimi Hendrix is my favorite artist though)

  • great song ..... rodders !

  • sexy!!!!!!

  • sexxxeeee!!!!!!

  • LOL only rod could butcher a hendrix classic this badly

  • I love that song...Well I like more the original. Who is playing the guitar? It looks like Ronnie Wood to me...But I'm not sure.

  • @CursedSoul666 okay, lets try this reply again.its jeff beck playing guitar.i had issues replying because ive commented too much lately.i get those every 5 comments.sux.

  • @anirbaz87 nope.. thats Ron Wood. Ron also joined Rod on the "Unplugged album".

  • @dwi55 okay.i was told it was jeff beck.so,i really dont know.

  • This is the real Rod Stewart. So much better than the MOR stuff he is churning out now.If Bruce can do it why cant you Rod

  • @MrDoncos

"Born In The USA" is the most sucessful "sell-out" album of all-time. I love Springsteen, but lets call a spade a spade.

  • @jinx21fan Funny, on Thanksgiving night I was telling my 37 yr old bro in law, and his friend about how Bruce (Previously known as the boss), wasn't half as big b4 born in the USA. I'm almost 42, and they were talking about all kinds of classic rock. Similar to bruce, Billy Joel's 1982 stuff, (which I thought was gay at the time), made him a much bigger star also.

  • Cracking cover of a top tune.

  • Jimi Hendrix wrote this, and never really got the credit.Of course, his version is incomparable. NO guitarist or singer could ever think to compare themselves to Hendrix. Sad to see so many folks didn't even know this is really Hendrix's

  • @dojomania I loved the whole Hendrix thing. Rod Stewart is not any big favorite of mine, but he nails this. Rod took better care of himself. Too bad Jimi could not handle his drugs, that is not cool.

  • @dojomania I knew it was hendrix, love stewarts version the best.Rod put more heart into it. Compare.

  • wow love it

  • Nice cover of a great Hendrix song. Nice minimalistic guitar solo and introduction.

  • The information that pops up about Hendrix is inaccurate - he was 27 when he died. Born Nov. 1942, died Sept. 1970 - he was almost 28, just two months away. But still, 27 forever

  • Es un gran cantante,me toco verlo en Monterrey,Mexico,1989 estuve enfrente del escenario

  • I know this from Rod's solo stuff but the best part of this is that The Faces are STILL backing him up here.

  • Hmmmmmm.

If it's not broke, don't fix it.

    Sorry Rod.

  • Didn't know Jimmie Hendrix wrote this, Like to hear the original

  • @jutescrim its way better just cause its jimi hendrix, look it up

  • Wow, thank`s so much for posting this. It`s my favourite song and i`ve never seen this clip.

  • there's some real music! not like the crap kids call music nowadays. (just like our parents used to say.)

  • wow this is a great song, rod still the man

  • really dig the faces but does the comic sans on the totp2 intro things bug anyone else? comic sans! come on!

  • Jermey Cullum should cover this

  • Good Song

  • Love the Tartan Scarf Rod

"You Wear It Well" Lol Lol !!!

    Great share cheers Laura

  • very nice upload...thank you,...5*****

  • The Man is fantastic !!!

  • Look out for Ian McLargan positioning a cardboard cut-out of Ronnie Lane on bass - must have been finishing his pint !

  • Ronnie Lane quit the band before this performance that's why he's not there.

  • The pub reference was a joke 'cos they were such big fans !
