@tthomaselli2 He didn't. The early TAS episodes had the cape as a really dark blue which would show up in brighter light. Later episodes had it as completely black (which would show dark grey in bright lights) and went back to a dark blue in Justice League.

@tthomaselli2 Ok I can do that. The Villian, Josiah Wormwood, was hired by a guy named Baron Jozek to Get Batman's Cape and Cowl. The Baron was mad because Batman Humiliated the him so he wanted to do hte same to Batman. Josiah tried on another occasion to Trap Batman and make him give up the cowl, but Batman Escaped. This led to The trap in the video.

Man I don't like the fact that in the 90's batman cartoon he has like NO gadgets while in "The Batman" he's got like a high-tech gysmo for everything! I mean seriously even in the 90's Bruce would've thought to pack a rebreather just in case. Not to mention Kevlar body armor, glideable everything-proof cape, and a hydrolic thermal cooling lining throughout the suit. All of which the technology existed back in the 90's and he's a freaking billionare so of course he can afford it.

i wasn't a fan of the batman beyond suit. it didn't have a cape, and that was the deal-breaker for me. as for all that other stuff, i think the cartoon was trying to take batman back to his roots, which was being badass and not having 1000 gadgets on his person at any given time. and check out the cars and some of the tech in the show. it could have been the late 40's early 50's.

Totally was thinking the same thing. I think Batman knew that since last time he solved the puzzle so easily, if he were to do so again, Wormwood would just escape again. So here he's not really trying, leading wormwood into a false sense of control and superiority. Then BAM has him at the end.
