  • He said "And she's buying a stairway to HELL" in the final line or it's just me going crazy?

  • Not a bad performance at all. I guess I remembered this version Stairway being more shitty than it really was. Those who made it to the stadium said that it actually sounded amazingly.

  • just so we're clearing this up, PAGE IS THE BEST GUITARIST EVER (maby sharing 1 place with David Gilmour...)

  • I love the look of joy on Plants face at 0.46. Magic!

  • that bass player's sound is terrible for this song

besides jpj plays the keys. thats all u need

  • it´s not John Bottoms it´s John Bonham your dumm

  • Solos not bad! cant believe none of the drummers know how to play stairway to heaven!!1

  • Robert Plant and Jimmy Page are GREAT! Even John Bottoms the greatest drumer ever!! (I THINK!) LED IS GREAT!!! LOVE IT!!

  • what are you guys smoking, this solo rocks ass, not as good as zep days but still

  • both are great

  • ha, plant came in to early during jimi's solo.

  • yes! I'm glad someone noticed!

  • man no drummer will ever compar to bonzo

  • every drummer is differnt -like peter moon and charlie watts -and some in the past

  • bellissima

  • Jimmy is my guitar heroe but this solo sucks, and thats because hes intoxicated, Plant was fine, meanwhile Led Zeppelin is wonderful, even at this moments..

  • Ok lets set things straight. Live Aid might have not been the best Zep performance but id still take them over any other band, Page was drunk not high on Heroin (he quit in 1983) and im sure this would have sounded better live the weakest link here definetely was Phil but thats what happens from lack of rehersal, buttom line Led Zeppelin owns anyday

  • 5:59-6:00 is a orgasm in his strings

  • im not expressing a reflection on any of the artists on the stage but this version is a complete train wreack and jimmy is clearly too drunk to be on stage.

  • hes not drunk hes strung out on heroine. 1985 was probably he worst year with drugs.

  • did one of the discs come off of that tambourine at 6:45

  • I suppose you're better than Jimmy Page. Page is in the top five of all-time great guitar players: Hendrix, Eddie Van Halen, Pete Townsend, Chuck Berry.

  • dont even compare page to eddie.. eddie wouldnt be eddie without the influence of page .. heartbreaker solo was a huge influence on his technique and many other things.. pagey was the best

  • I'm trying to decipher my secret message to see if there was any mention of a comparison between Jimmy Page and Eddie VH. I don't see any.

  • page is THIRDS greatest. placing him at 5 is blasphemy. behind only hendrix and clapton

  • That list was in random order. But I would put Page at number 2, just slightly behind Jimi.

  • I remember waiting for this in 1985 and feeling so let down by Jimmy Page. Well I've just watched it again and yes Jimmy's solo was crap but the rest of the band weren't great either. Still the anti climax of live aid.

  • :O ke boniiitoo

  • loool 8:25

  • Actually the problem here with this performance and some others was that the sound system wasn't set up right. Dylan said it was set up behind the curtain giving the sound a mediocre sound.

  • Jimmy Page said the fault of why this concert was bad, was because of the drummers, well personally, many parts of his solo suck big time. I think he doesn't have to be so arrogant.

Also, I think Plants' voice is mediocre on this performance.

  • pages solo definitely wasn't his best but phil collins is fucking garbage. he can't keep time properly, he keeps coming in too early, or fucking up fills.
