i wish there was a program that was like more powerful version of WC3 editor for general 3d world building, and models would be mostly community-created like they are in WC3. With the same easy to learn and manage interface/controls. I used to create scenic maps in WC3 alot, but the graphics dissapoint me :/

nice pics not made in wc3. on top of notch grafics are no where close to these also wc3 doesn't have 3d grass probably should have though of that. 4 or 5 of the pictures are real with intense extra downloads but the rest are from other games and or movies. i recognised 1 pic from lord of the rings battle for middle earth #2 and 1 from oblivion. some looked wowish but can't quite pinpoint areas. but thanks for the few real ones

lol wanna know how to create high mountains of rocks like he did.. just copy the "fire" doodad several times... change it's model to a rock or somenthing like that and put it in a high height.. you must create alot of then.. each one with a diferent height^^ hope i helped..

imo in my experience in warcraft editor, its all about knowing how to scale, recoloring doodads, and using fog effects correctly. the hive workshop, the Ultimate Terraining Map, and the UMSWE are your best friends when it comes to terraining

The floating city is made by a alpha texture that is see through and replaces a tileset making it look like the ground isnt there but its just see through. The terrain is all his work posted on the hive by him.

Actually it looks even better than Wow. Graphics are less ...to tell the truth ... mawkish, and much more gloomy (0:14) and natural (grass and lightbeams, oh my! 3:04). Citadel with blueish dismal lights is an example, how Undercity should have looked.
