And, as you note, the angel says the dream is for the time of the end. But, the Medes and Persians certainly were not at the time of the end. In verse 13 Daniel talks about the abomination of desolation. But when Jesus refers to this AOD, he is talking about the end times, NOT ancient history.

That's why Jesus referred to Daniel, and ONLY Daniel, when He was telling His disciples about the End Times. Why the dual prophecy? And, as you note, the angel says the dream is for the time of the end. But, the Medes and Persians certainly were not at the time of the end. In verse 13 Daniel talks about the abomination of desolation. But when Jesus refers to this AOD, he is talking about the end times, NOT ancient history.

Therefore, the verse you provided, Jeremiah 23:15, is only stating the crime but the result is the 70 year captivity. Your "false prophet" connection is flawed. Following the "false prophet" is one of the many reasons that leads to the destruction of the Temple in 70 A.D. by the Romans. Therefore, the message by John was fulfilled.

This is why they expected the "rapture" to happen shortly !!!! Therefore it is a false prophecy. Book of Revelation was fulfilled between 70 AD to 140 AD. All of these actions have nothing to do with prophecy. The formation of Israel in 1948 has nothing to do with prophecy. You are correct, the Chilean mine rescue occurred at the same time, but that did not stop the media from reporting on Ahmadinejad's visit to Lebanon. The major news blackout of Iran's ballistic missile base being blown up and 18 Revolutionary Guards being killed was deliberate and very revealing of their hidden, satanic agenda.

I think this story belongs to the world of wishful thinking. Your observation that war is looming and that tribulation is upon us, is correct. The US and Britain are bankrupt so they will resort to war. I believe the CIA has given Al Qaida nukes to use on an american city, just like they helped them on 9/11 to maximize it`s effect. When hit, the president will be `by chance` far from the impact waiting to retaliate on Pakistan, Iran, Yemen, Russia and the rest. All of this may start in 2011.

@TheEndlessRiver7 We should all be preparing for Jesus' glorious return in October- November 2017. The whole Church should be making preparations for a huge celebration, as you say. But, instead there is bickering and fighting within the Church, as you note. Jesus asked his disciples "when the Son of Man comes will he find any faith on earth?" (Luke 18:8). First, I believe we must make certain our own faith is secure, and second, help our neighbors to that same faith as much as possible.
