I really like the Monty Alexander Trio, but how can one give a piano as false as a good pianist! shame organizer :(

Unfortunately it aint the piano that's false, it's the choice of keys ;)

probably an offday....

@yunadezign I do not think, Ray Brown, Milt Jackson, Johnny Griffin and many others, would play with a pianist who does not choose the correct keys on the piano. monty are a pianist who has a very good harmonic sense, there are also very spontaneous, also Frank Sinatra and Oscar Peterson did not cheat when you they start his career. ;) Sorry my English is not very good I used a little the translator.

don't get me wrong I love Monty since Montreux, as well as OP and Gene Harris.

(I played with numeral "big" jazz artists as a drummer) This is just not how he plays normaly ;)

although I must say he likes to "play"with notes in a funny way sometimes...

@yunadezign as I said earlier, monty are very spontaneous contrast was Oscar who was an executioner of work, or gene harris who replayed often even solo (see the two version of summertime), I love Oscar and gene, but monty has something fresh, oscar peterson an extraordinary technique, gene harris a true sense of the blues, so ... all three are exceptional pianists ;)
