All you have to do is go do shows, put out good material constantly, meet your fans in person, connect with them, give out songs, enter competitions, work with artists, meet musicians, meet workers, sign up to contests, do free shows, free shows, free shows... you won't be getting paid shit anyway. Make yourself a household name...

THEN go online and promote yourself. No SPAM needed, you'll be an internet hit.
