In 1975 this reaked the summer blockbuster and is still loved today,i for one watched it wen i was about 5 or 6,not only did i luv sharks,but it scared me from going in deep water,this movie brought the suspense to the very thing that we do on any day,go swimming.This movie made so much,it became a legend.But for everyone who has watched it,mit not migth have scared soem people or scarred them.But it brings the big question to al lof us...."What is worse?A monser u can see?or can't?"

Me too, first saw it aged 5, it was one of my favourite movies.

Funny story: I was 6 and pissed my bed. I remember it vividly. I was dreaming about the last scene (not nightmare) and dreamed Brody(me) got to the beach, went home and took a leak. MUM!!!!

Anyway, im waiting to show my niece and nephews who are 5-6, they still cant sit through Star Wars! Im not suggesting Jaws yet but c'mon kids, How long till you can appreciate a few good movies? Its all Sesame St so far...

I've always felt that the moment when the shark bursts through the side of the ship at about 0:10 is one of the great "make-you-jump-out-of-your-sea­t" moments, and it doesn't seem to get as much mention as a lot of the other scenes/moments in the film.

Give the movie a break it was filmed in 1975 when it was more believable, plus the show Mythbusters actually tested this theory and it resulted in being untrue, so its already proven that the tank would not explode anyways, but give it some props its a great movie for its time
