  • He just swallowed the whole steak lol

  • Wild...

  • This is making me hungry... I think, one day, I will go out to the grocery store and buy me 3 packs of Jack Links Beef Jerky :)

  • Good for you. I'm glad you're feeding your dogs and cats natural food. Raw meat is natural food for them. No more bagged dog/cat food.

  • I was watching this tv show "It's me or the dog"

and this one episode, this lady who had two large dogs (either labs or German shepherd dogs), would make cooked meals for the dogs ever day. She cooked chicken breast and veggies for them. Then gave her own kids and husband tv dinners to eat. Some people who feed their dogs like this lady did piss me off. That is why there is dog food, and if you have the money to feed them raw diet than that is awesome and good for you!

  • yummy!!

  • How expensive is it to keep a dog on a Raw diet? I spend almost $50 on a bag of dog food for a 100lb labrador that lasts about a month. I don't doubt that a Raw diet is healthier but it has to hurt the wallet.

  • @mesarock2vh Look for bargains, butcher's disposing of carcasses, buy cheap meat on sale, always buy in bulk (you will probably need to upgrade freezer). Remember to freeze all meat for parasites (especially fish I think). Good luck

  • Beautiful Lawn and landscaping. That dog is very lucky!

  • Is the meat frozen the thawed before you feed,or can it be freshly cut meat?

  • People tell me all the time how well my dog looks and he's 14 years old. I say love your dog tons, never feed him dried kibble, and give him plenty of exercise. He loves raw beef but can't stand raw chicken. His raw diet is supplemented with canned dog food. Raw is great for dogs and not as expensive as people think it is. Fat unhealthy dogs come from kibble, point blank.

  • Nice Porter House for a Beautiful Dog!!! Thank God My Wife is Cree Indian so she can hunt all year.We have 2 Pugs a German Sheppard(3 legged)and a Rottie. All we feed them is raw Wild Meat(Moose,Elk,Deer,Caribou,Bison and Bear)and raw Chum Salmon,Squwafish and Suckers. They are healthy as any Dog Food eating Dog.Lovely video. We not just hunting for the Dogs.We as a family Wife I and 4 Daughters we are only eating wild meat too.No Steroid pumped meat from the stores

  • @jozsefkacsa - I'm sure I speak for many people when I say that I'm so jealous you have all those wonderful, wild meats! That's awesome! I would love to see some pics of the pups...please feel free to visit our facebook page and post some if you like :)

  • @rawbasics I will thanx.Your Puppy is SO CUTE.I love Sheppards!!! I have a 3 legged one his name is Muller. That was the most Germanic name we could think of LOL

  • @rawbasics Oh yeah I just laugh how people tell me that Dogs WILL TURN wishes and mean if I keep feeding them with raw meat LMAO!!!

  • @jozsefkacsa I hear that sometimes as well..so I ask them how many Toy Poodles or Miniature Poodle/Schnauzer mutts(that's what my dogs are) turn vicious.

  • @godsfiddler Good point thanx

  • @rawbasics i just discovered this and want to get in. how should i start? buy a raw packaged steak at a supermarket and jut give it to him as is?

  • @jozsefkacsa what does being indian have to do with hunting? isnt that discrimination

  • @rctriplefresh5 Because a Status Indian can Hunt and Fish all year around anywhere on Crown Land all type of Animals no Hunting Licence or tags needed. Can also do Trapping without no Licence and can use any kind of Net fishing inludin a Gill net.Has to be Status though. It means that your Mother has to be a treaty status Indian registered to a Reservation. So my kids will get their status but my sons kids will only be Metis which is not full status they have some restrictions

  • @jozsefkacsa your dogs are very lucky!!

  • @jozsefkacsa : I'm happy that you're feeding your pets natural food. Since you hunt for your own food, the meat is wild and raw. I too like eating natural foods. I grow my own food in my backyard. No more chemicals and pesticides for me. In the near future, I plan to purchase 10 acres of land. That way I can grow more food and let my chickens run freely. That way I get fresh eggs in the morning. The chicken poop can be use as natural fertilizer for my garden too. Yep.

  • That looks like a nice steak

  • I can't believe how idiotic some people can be these days. It's almost like they suspect that dogs/wolves carried around a hot plate with them while hunting in the wild...

    Beautiful dog by the way.

  • @PsychoticButcher - Thank you! You have to remember, info on raw feeding & its health benefits is not readily available to the public. The professionals you're supposed to trust most for their expertise are sometimes nothing more than the average Joe in a white lab coat...who is just repeating "nutritional info" given to him by pet food manufacturers who use cheap & harmful ingredients for max profit.

  • @PsychoticButcher - Please check us out on Facebook! Just search for "RAW Basics - RAW Pet Food"

  • that is a really beutiful dog how old is he/she

  • @tadicjobin - thank you very much! he is 4.5 years old now (about 3.5 years old in the video) <3

  • Your dog is beautiful, he has such a shiny and I can see that his coat sure is soft! I love the BARF method even though I've never had a dog myself, but whenever I get one I'll definitely BARF my dog. And I recommend all petowners to BARF their cats, ferrets or other meat-eating animals.

  • GULP!! He's beautiful..!!

  • The last chew/swallow which occurs just after 0:46 seconds is insane. He chews it a bit and then just swallows it. You can even hear the noise that he makes as he swallows what appears to be 1/2-1/1 pounds of meat.

That piece of meat looks like approx 2 pounds since one pound of sliced pork is approx the size of a baseball/softball. They sell beef at the meat market for approx $2.50-3.50 a pound in the San Francisco area. I give my dog raw pork and it cost me $1.80 a pound.

  • "I gots me a steak... I'm a privileged dog."

  • Switched my dogs to pure meats and bones 2 months ago. They leaned out, nicreased muscle and the old 9yr old that barely moved is all of a sudden up all the time and wanting to play.

    I'd say, success.

  • @ArizonaMMJ - That's so great to hear...congrats and good work!!! I would also recommend adding an omega 3 supplement in the form of fish oil to all your dogs' meals, especially your 9 year old (if you're not yet adding them). You can also add a co-q10 supplement for your senior.

  • Ha! Cute pooch!

  • My chihuahua's teeth have become SPARKLY white ever since I put her on raw diet. She's only a puppy and had yellow stuff on her teeth that I could not get rid of. Her FUR also became soooo much softer. Her fur on top of her back is still a bit rough since she's only been on raw for ~2months but around her neck and sides, definitely a positive difference !! She also gets her exercise from chewing off bones that have tonz of meat around it

  • Your dog is beautiful! Look at the shiny coat!

  • @mariah1397 - Thank you very much!

Just to help people understand a little more about the effects of a raw diet, he gets a bath once or twice a year and his coat is always shiny and soft. In the summer he likes to play with the garden hose, so I will usually just hose him off if he gets into anything (no soap needed).

This type of diet allows your dog to be a DOG, without the dog smell or dog breath, and without the extra fussing and maintenance of monthly grooming.

  • @rawbasics Same with mine, a couple baths a year & the raw does the rest! Raw feeder of 2 years & I never plan on switching back.

  • @rawbasics watttt only ones or twice a year our dog need monthly if not weekly baths because of the smell -_-

  • @rawbasics is he quicker and more agile than before?

  • @MsLabMom - a dog's saliva contains Lysozyme which is a very important part of the immune system...because it is an enzyme that kills bacteria.

So if there was a problem with your dog's teeth, you should look for the root of what's causing it whether it's a cracked or rotting tooth somewhere that's gone unnoticed, or a problem with his/her immune system from toxins, chemicals, vaccines, etc.

  • @MsLabMom Meh. Well it's keeping my two Pugs teeth pearly white, and stopped the 14 month olds Seizures, red staining etc so i wouldn't recommend anything else but raw. A dog has a short digestive tract and strong stomach acid. Food usually passes in 4 hours (Raw) with Kibble it can be in there for up to 12 hours because its difficult to digest. That means if any bacteria does survive it has 12 hours to make itself at home so to speak. With raw, no problems.

  • @Wtflolyay - So happy to hear the seizures stopped!!! Good luck with your little guys :)

  • @MsLabMom My 9 years old dog eats raw food and she have perfect theeth with the bones. So, the bones or the diet is not a problem.

You have a lot of dogs with diferent problems with this diet, isn't?

I know people who have been feeding his dogs with a good pet food and making a dental cleaning every year and with 10 years his dog have a terrible teeth, just change to a raw diet and his teeth are healthy.

"At least you give to your "dogs" a good food."

  • @MsLabMom Your dog may also have food allergies. Were you giving your dogs a variety of meat, rotation is key.
