It's too bad she was black listed because of her stance against the Viet Nam war. Her career took a big set back because she voiced her opinion. I admire her candor and courage.

I never knew she passed in 2008, I am so thankful I got to see her recite at Epcot's christmas show when I did. Such great words she had to say ! We can all learn from this

I interviewed her in 1988 in London in her FOLLIES dressing room. Boy, was I scared! I had no reason to be. One week before I had been mugged and knocked unconcious, and Eartha couldn't help but notice my fat lip, and bruised face. She enquired. She was so kind to me. Put me at ease. I sailed through the interview. She was a great lady - and a great star!

This interview should be used in schools in some way or another. Young folks, especially the impressionable ones in grade school, thru college, should be required to listen to interviews like these on Archives of American Television. These are HISTORIC interviews, man. Dont get no better than this. She has every reason to be bitter and withdrawn..but she never was. God Bless her..God Bless her.
