@TheDweeb92 I miss pronounced Ben Okri in my latest book haul video. I was convinced his name was Orki,,, yeah, so if the world can see that, your happy squeak is fiiiiiine!
YOU ARE. GOING. TO HATE. PERSONAL DEMONS. I think by now I have an idea of what you like and believe me, you will want to burn that book. Save yourself!
I loved the way you let out a squeak of happiness because you bought hunch back of Notre Dame! Any book lover who tells you they haven't broken their own book ban is telling you fibs!
I am currently in this middle-grade bubble right now and I can't get out. There are just so many good stories. I tried reading The Laughing Man by Victor Hugo a couple years ago. It started out really good, but strangely changed in the middle and got very political - like it went out on this tangent. I did not understand what was going on. I may try it again someday.
Flowers Of Algernon is a really sad book. I had to read it in 8th grade, and it was really sad. I remember we had to go home and read some of it and I was like bawling my eyes out. But its definitely a great book, some parts that I remember were weird because the way they talked but it was really good. I need to go find it now, I want my own copy. Lol.
@TheDweeb92 Haha, yeah, I loved that movie though. When we were kids we didn't notice that type of stuff. But kids are way more aware of sexual themes nowadays.
