  • Matisyahu is so great. he obviously had some breathing control problems in this video, but he has DEFINITELY come a long way in the last 6 years.

  • @jasonaepichi He didn't figure in the high altitude when he ran around!!

  • We Reggae band from Colorado!!!!! Check us out and let us know what you think.

  • Who is this guy at the beginning?

  • @JusGoodieTV; I live in Boulder and this guy performs there a lot; think he's from Boulder. Probably Jewish, so Matisyahu let him warm up the crowd.

  • I absolutely love this video!! I've been watching it for a couple years now.

  • reggaeton

  • I went to an outdoor concert not knowing who was playing, and it was him. It turned out to be one of the best live shows I have ever seen!! I was, and continue to be, very impressed. Much love :-)

  • I can't wait for the concert tonight at Anaheim :D

    WHOOP WHOOP

  • the band members in Matisyahu video, aren't they the members of Brandon boid's band INCUBUS!! i dont think thier names match and the video isn't totally clear! any one got facts

  • No, none of them were ever in Incubus. The guitarist is Aaron Dugen, the bassist is Josh Werner, and the drummer is Jonah David. None of which ever played in Incubus. Aaron is the last remaining band member to stay with Matis. Now he also has the band Dub Trio backing him up. Very good. I still miss this band setup, though.

  • simply it´s beautifull regue

  • what would --> lord raise me up. in hebrew letters look like ?? pls i need to know it

  • The aish tamid (אש תמיד) is the eternal flame that was supposed to burn in the altar in the Jewish Tabernacle and never go out. It is not to be confused with the Ner tamid, the eternal light that is kept in front of the ark. In modern Jewish practice, the aish tamid is kept alive symbolically through daily prayer and the study of Torah

  • Roots Tonic is the shot they should have stayed togeather

  • Matisyahu is the man

  • he is so amazing live. mark of a musical genius.

  • the guy in the beginning is named "Jus Goodie"

  • Muslims doesnt sing songs about jerusalem

  • neither of them are muslim

    they're both hasidic jews

  • that guy is his boy i forget his name. Look at the video with the kimmel performance and interview. Matis says his name and the guy your talking about is Muslim too.

  • the guy who he talked about on kimmel name's kenny muhammad.

  • i think thats not Kenny, i think thats Joeseph Israel.

  • who's that dredlock guy on the beginning of the performance???!!

  • The first vocalist is great and that introduction song was even better. phantom...

  • Well i though he was a good warm up i've listened to this so many time, i didn't like it at first but he really grew on me, good tune.

  • @britandyx : I've been listening reggae for a couple of years and I think shake off the dust is a good reggae album... Youth is not as good but Matisyahu is not white middle-class reggae

Actually I don't understand why people see him like a jewish who plays reggae, Harrison Stafford (Groundation's singer) is jewish too but it doesn't surprise anybody...

  • Red Rocks is the best place to see a live show.

  • Thanks for posting this, really cool upload.

  • Hell yeah for the CO! Great video, amazing quality. Thanks for the taste of home.

  • love

  • Jusgoodie tell benji to give Garys keyboard back. Its rightfully his. hes out.

  • beautiful..

  • this is the best singer to listen to when high i swear

  • this puts marleyfest to shame

  • thats just 2 different things... nobody dises the marley family and nobody dises matisyahu...

  • My love for music is much stronger than my hate for religion. I love this guy!!!!

  • My family and I saw him in Vegas Aug 23 and his vibe was even stronger than I imagined. His vibe moves you! He is my inspiration as a Chassidic Jew, which got me out of some of the roughest times of my life, which I will not go back to at all and got me back to being what I know I am suppose to be.

    SHALOM!

  • stark!

  • Just saw him at Farm Aid in NYC. He is an incredible, inspirational man.

  • el primero sorry

  • como se llama este tema si me pueden decir porfa

  • este tipo de musica se llama reggae, pero el concierto se llama reggae at red rocks (colorado)

  • swwet thanks

  • his gasping for air takes away from the performance.

  • i think he has gotten better with that since 2005, I have seen him twice within the past year and he has so much energy its unbelievable

  • tengo q ver este concieto entero!!!

lastime q solo vi una parte apenas tenga tiempo lo veo!!

  • I can't wait to see him in one month. he is an inspiration to me as a Chasidic Jew

  • there sweet seen them in concert and they rock

  • I just saw him yesterday, opening for 311, in STL, it was one of the best performences, and by the most entertaining

  • matisyahu fearking asome band i ever heard love them like them come all

  • what does everyone think about Matisyahu's stage performance? To me it kinda looks like it sucks, but o well cause the music is amazing.

  • I've seen him live 3 times and he is one of the most amazing performers alive. It's easy to write the man off as a novelty, a Hassidic reggae-rapper, but he has skills. What I don't like are his studio Cds. Live At Stubbs was my introduction. His studio efforts sound and feel too over produced and watered down.

  • music isn't constricted by the color of our skin.

  • and I ask - so what?

  • I have been listening to Reggae music for over 30 years and Matisyahu is right up there with the best. He is just performing in a different era.

  • i dont know what ur talkin about with eminem, most black lower classes love eminem.

  • Check out Dylan Judah, another great reggae singer!

  • Red Rocks is my favorite venue. Ben Folds and John Mayer the 16th.

  • Matisyahu rules! Keep this way my man. Nowadays your obviously the best in reagge dancehall

  • I saw him in concert a couple months ago and he has for sure improved his sound live on stage. In This video you could tell he has not performed live many times. But when I saw him almost a year and a half after this he sounds almsot perfect on stage(CD Quality). He has definetly improved his sound on stage live.

  • reggae on the rocks 12 year vet. this show was ice cold chill'n. cant wait for 2007. burning spear this year.

  • this concert was so dope and man was i high on that dope stuff. if you havent been to red rocks go there

  • i dont think hesidic jews should get into fuckin reggae, that would be like me,, a german(half german, half brittish) going to afrika and beating on drums and jumping up and down singing zuuluuuuzulluuujajajaaaaa...its just fucking stupid. sounds like crap anyway, reggae has the shittiest guitar chords, but the clash made it sound good with their punk influence.....see what i mean, its wierd.....but to each his own.

  • ...and in clash times there were enough teenies wondering what the fuck these clash guys doing with their guitars...;) peace

  • definatly.....but natrually when your country has owned the jamaicans you will eventually encorporate part of their music to yours.. and keep contact with the culture for expansion purposes and money, they had fun with it, this guy did too. Hesidic jews with reggae though...they cant even eat pork can they smoke?!?! lol

  • how about you sound like shit you jerkoff. and reggae guitar chords sound like that. what beat ass music do you listen to? you sour kraut, tea drinking idiot. learn more about the culture before you nock them

  • hey man, if you can rock it, more power to you. If you suck, then you'd probably not get any sort of movement behind you. Matisyahu is awesome, thus his music is loved by his fans. He rocks it and you know it.

  • does anyone know who that was that came in first, not mastisyahu but the other guy?

  • Great idea to public this concert in You Tube. Thankx. :)

Matisyahu and his fellows made beautifull music. The words, the lyrics, the way the message is spoken is an inspiration for good, for hope, for love, for redemptiom, for me to be a better human being.

    Good Vibes.

  • is this the one where he sits on top of the amp stacks? if so i was there

  • I was at this concert, well, most of it. Some of the peeps I came with got all pussed out cause it rained after Yellow man and thy all left. I should have stayed but at least i can see the rest of the show! I live near Boston now is its sweet to see red rocks on a day i was there!

  • arent red rocks fake opium? or maybe crack?

  • you are a idiot. red rock is a form of opium. and you dumbass, red rock is a place in colorado that many famous artists have played at.

  • lmao, im jsut not a junkie or interested in colorado, lmao, sry. ahhaha

  • 2 chiprommel: definitely not, you're a funny little troll, trying to annoy others on the topic. go on with it and you'll probably find out more ways to communicate with other people. peace

  • Getting connected with reggae music is the closest I have ever come to believing in god

  • The artist who came on at the begining of the show was JUS GOODIE

  • hi five to who ever added this lets hope it survies youtubes strict rules, the bastards :P

  • Man, I didn't like raggae... This guy converted me!!!

    YO YO

  • I do not know who that Ras is but it is not Joseph Israel.

  • yeeeh its jus goodie man, legend

  • jus goodie - the rasta in the beginning,

  • i dont believe thats Josepsh Israel, I checked him out on myspace and they dont look nor sound the same, however i could be wrong and it also sounds like matis says "jozz goodie" or somethihng like that

  • "the rasta with matis" is Joseph Israel

  • halelujah ,wut a nice upload!!!!

  • thanx so muc mobius for posting this vid....i had a great time god bless!

  • who is the rasta with matis in the beginning hes awesome!

  • kneel before ZOD

  • I love this guy and his band. This is the REAL deal.

  • at least have one black musician..like UB40 and have him stand in front of the band for the entire show...

  • peace

  • Looks good.

  • I would like to invite you all to this website which was created to serve as an online community for Jews all over the world, both secular and religious. It was created in order to combat the growing loss of Jewish identity, and to form a feeling of Jewish unity between Jews from all over the world.

We also hope that, with time, we will be able to begin fighting anti-Semitism and donating to charities as a unified Global Jewish Community.

    www globaljewishcommunity com

  • i'm not jewish. but i do a LOT of research about civic disengagement due to a loss of identity. cyber you're doing a great thing :)

  • This guy is unbelievable, luv his music...he kicks ass!!!

  • too good , I m a hindu didnt know about hasidic reggae but its so addictive

  • you may not have heatrd about hassidic reggae because mattisyahu is the world's only hassidic reggae singer. i don't go much for his muucis but i love his message abnd his attutude and that he stays true himself and his faith even in fame.

  • shalom

  • I believe the other guy is Joseph Israel but I could be wrong. Either way check him out.

  • Todah Rabah. Ani Ma'amim.

  • he needs some kind of back up singers for his chours..he needs a break.

  • how the hell did you post sumpthin 58 min

  • no way the other dude is Damian Marley.. He's too fat to be him...

  • i think the other guy is damien marley but matisyah u is the new reggae legend

  • for those who hating...just listen to his words, that's what really matters...i mean if you can understand it

  • I love his music but he needs to sharpen his sound on stage. The band sounds a little amateur but I still love Matisyahu.

  • comming from a reggae musican from hawaii. we are all about having a hyper live show. from what i see, don't seem like braddaz show get life.... just like he had so much showz that he only going through the motion for the money...

    PhaTBoi

  • i take that back..like 2 minutes play lol.. and that other guy with him sucks

  • yea dude 58 minutes.. good stuff!

  • he is not rasta, therefore eliminating Jah, he is Jewish.

  • What? The term Jah is a different pronunciation of the Hebrew term Yah, as in HalleluYah (lit. "Praise Jah"). Yah is one of the names of G-d in the Torah.

  • yeah well, ignorant people spew ignorant hate...

moktail, what contributions do you have for society?

  • 2 different Gods - Jah and Yahweh? Which one?

  • they are the same . judaism has 13 different m=names for G-d each one representing a different attribute of G-d. but all are refferring to the same One g-d.

  • its funny how many wars have been fought over this same confusion. there's one idea. that we all worship differetly. blah.

  • i am sorry am a little confused. what wars have been fought over this?

  • i just saw matisyahu a few weeks ago an he was waaay better then this... sounds like he'd been singing for like 9 years an jus doesnt have a voice left in this one tho.. but its sweet some1 put up a whole concert!

  • 10 min max on you tube

  • ? ?
