I'm also 26, almost 27. I think for me, it is a matter of wanting to do more than computer programming. I'm currently working on some educational software ironically. Are you currently going to school for art? I think you draw well. I hope you have a great career and time in education.
I agree at 14 I wasn't even that focused on school in general, I pretty much just made it a point to graduate. I'm going on 27 here shortly and still don't know what I want to do with my life. With that said, older people going to college may be going now because they finally figured out what they want to do or have just been so wrapped up in life that now is their chance. Look at Shanay for example, she took loosing her "job" as a chance to make a "career".
@CrayolaBoi83 There are always exceptions and when I made this, I specifically disregarded those exceptions because I feel that even those people who are a) mature for being fourteen or b) going back to school for a good reason still fall into the topics I was discussing.
A mature fourteen year old who knows their future job for sure is still too young to handle the FAFSA rodeo, as well as the textbook drama - finances are not something children are good with.
@CrayolaBoi83 Also, older people going back to school, whether they have a good reason to or not, I feel like are still not entitled to judge me on my life choices.
I thought Shanay was like, between 35 and 40. Even if she's older though, she'd still fall into the category of people I don't want to hear it from. She's cool either way, though. <3
