Martian Manhunter was a weird fat guy who did diddly squat, the Flash was tubby and underused, it centered on an obscure superheroine and Roy Palmer (BALD and tubby) and the Green Lantern they used was relative unknown Guy Gardner, whose character more closely fit Hal Jordan (right down to being fairly stupid).
@TheZacula Guy Gardner story is great, since he was suppose to become a Lantern before John Stewart, but had a car accident, but miraculously recover... to eventually found out he isn't entirely human. Of course Hal and Kyle have the best story, but they are the best.

It should be rated G for Godawful, as the animation was very so-so, it wasn't true to the source material and didn't have a good original story, and one superheroine has a chance to APPREHEND THE DAMN VILLAIN WHILE HE'S POWERLESS but chooses to run away screaming, hoping for a bald and tubby version of the Atom to save her.
Let's set the record straight...Green Lantern was created by Mart Nodell and Bill Finger in 1940...his alias was Alan Scott, radio station executive.
Hal Jordan (my fave) was created by Gil Kane and John Broome in 1959...Guy Gardner as Hal's "backup" in 1968...John Stewart came from Neal Adams and Denny O'Neil in 1972...Kyle Rayner replaces Hal when Hal becomes Parallax in 1994.
At the conclusion of 2005's "Rebirth" they all wear the ring again...

The original Green Lantern was Alan Scott and the ring's weakness was wood. In the early 60s the idea of the Green Lantern Corps showed up In the comic Showcase, and Hal Jordan took the mantle as the green lantern for earth's sector. Those rings had a weakness against yellow.
John Stewart and Guy Gardener were both "back-up" lanterns. Stewart took over shortly in the mid-80s 1995 Kyle Rayner took the mantle. There has been at least one other human Lantern posted offworld, Valentine?

It's from an unaired pilot for a Justice Leage TV show back in the early '90s. It was so bad that even the network suits decided to circular file it. It's right up there with the '80s Fantastic Four movie.

The original Green Lantern was Alan Scott and the ring's weakness was wood. In the early 60s the idea of the Green Lantern Corps showed up In the comic Showcase, and Hal Jordan took the mantle as the green lantern for earth's sector. Those rings had a weakness against yellow.
John Stewart and Guy Gardener were both "back-up" lanterns. Stewart took over shortly in the mid-80s 1995 Kyle Rayner took the mantle. There has been at least one other human Lantern posted offworld, Valentine?

This is a clip from the planned CBS 'Justice League of America' TV series from some years ago, more specifically, the pilot episode....
It bombed spectacularly, and was not seen again until bootleg copies of it showed up at various conventions around the country.... :)

Actually the Guardians of Oa made Alan an unofficial Green Lantern Corp member so they do acknowledge that he's active and has pretty much the same powers they do.

His power's are only similar in the way its used. yes powered by will and only limited by imagination. but his power is magic based not science. Another difference between Scott's ring and the Oan-based rings is that Scott's ring is ineffective against wood. Although the Oan-based rings used to be ineffective against yellow, due to the events of "Green Lantern - Rebirth" that limitation can now be overcome by experienced Green Lanterns (although rookie Lanterns must learn to overcome it).

It's from an unaired pilot for a Justice Leage TV show back in the early '90s. It was so bad that even the network suits decided to circular file it. It's right up there with the '80s Fantastic Four movie.
