  • What variety of peaches and almond trees did you plant and where did you get them and how much did they cost? Details, details, pleassse. Great Food Forest!!!

  • Thanks for the video, however can you make it smoother, the camera moves too fast and I get dizzy. Its very good material, and its a pitty that the camera moves so fast.

  • Are you in St Georege?

  • Hey great looking garden! im planning on starting my first one this year. A quick questioni have is what are the like canopy things for? like over the parsley and kale garden? is it to lower the suns intensity or what does it do. would appreciate a response to that thanks.

  • @shortylockdown hey, thanks for the kind comment, very appreciated. yup, the shade cloth is for creating a shaded mircoclimate. this climate zone, goes from cold to really hot...quickly. with the shade cloth attached to pvc, i can easily move the shade where i need it. my trees are growing quickly, so hopefully one day, they will help with the shade/mircoclimate.

  • hey, congratulations, nice garden you have... you have to make some more how to videos... but you will have to take a stand for the camera... it is unconftable the continues movement plus you show to much.. make videos on how to one thing. take a look at praxus videos.... but thanks any way.... regards from colombia south america.

  • @josejrosas hello Jose...thanks for the comment/feedback. You got it brutha...I'll work on my stability. Such a refiners process..and a fun learning curve. Praxxus55712 is one of my heroes...and makes a fine fine video. I shall try to emulate his awesomeness...anyone else reading this, check out that channel!!

cheers to fine 2011 my south american brutha

  • @LeijaTurunen You're beauty-ful!!!!! Leija.. CONGRATS to you and Phillip..your journeys' are not only inspiring but I must say...way beyond that now...IT"S LOVE..true LOVE!! So grateful for you both..thanks for inspiring me for so long now!! I can already see your BC (medicinal) FOOD FOREST in my minds eye. :)

  • @rawutah Thank-you Jake! I don't think I've ever been more in love in my WHOLE LIFE! We're very happy! :)

A medicinal food forest in BC... ahhhh, just thinking about that makes me feel all warm and fuzzy... ahhhh. So nice. Haha. I can see it too! And I know we will manifest it someday!

Thank-YOU Jake for inspiring me to keep the dream (of creating a food forest) alive! XO!

  • Awesome design. You could plant asparagus and egyptian onions as the perennial vegetables in the shade of the goji berry bushes

  • @ChasinTranes I'm going to do exactly that!! Thanks for the suggestion...that looks beautiful in my minds eye

  • @rawutah I planted asparagus this year about 2 feet wide around my whole garden. When it comes up it is like a little green fence! haha, Im waiting till next spring to harvest though. I know a farmer that grows egyptian onions and they are potent! They look like medusa coming up each year to guard his mulberry trees.

  • Great Work. Inspirational. Thanks again.

  • @Lucent1111 Thank YOU!!!!

  • Really nice garden. I love the variety of plants you have. Seems like you're changing focus from traditional and annual veggies. Surely nothing wrong with that. After a while, you'll have nothing to do but enjoy it all ;-) Again, I really like how you've laid everything out.

    Regards, Gary

  • @garygardens Thanks Gary!! Very appreciated!! Uploading part 3 today..lol. A bit long..but had a hard time getting it all in..I don't like editing video too much

  • Those trees look great! Isn't it the wost wonderful thing to walk out your door and see all that beauty!

  • @enchantedsb truly...the BEST of all...MEDICINES!!!

  • Superb! I am really impressed with the methods you are using to cultivate in a relatively harsh climate. I have been researching fruit growing since you inspired me to grow strawberries but I am also going to see which exotic fruit I might be able to grow. I know Kiwi will grow here but I would love to have something nobody else has tried. There will be updates on this issue in future videos.

    Best Wishes, Brendan.

  • @baconsoda Impressed here as well..by your passionate growing methods Brenden!! Your garden just takes one glance/look...and it pulls you in. Magic!! I dig those kind of gardens.... Have you seen the documentary "A Man Named Pearl"?? You'll love it!! All about a S. Carolina Gardener...that turned his house into a garden retreat/ healing space...and man....IT INSPIRES!!!!!!!

Can't wait for any and ALL ..updates from your part of the world...I learn a TON...with every post. THANKS!

  • @rawutah Thanks Jake. I'll check the documentary out. I'm going to do an update and partial harvest video in a day or two when the weather allows.

    Best Wishes, Brendan.

  • Nice to see the garden coming along well and I was particularly impessed with the almonds - first time I have seen them growing on the actual tree. It seems you are very into your goji berries - do you think you need to devote so much garden space to them? I always think a lot of diversity is the best strategy. The kiwis normally take time to get going - ours did and then, I think in its third year, it simply took off.

  • @ivankinsman Hello! Thanks! I'm very excited about the almonds too!! Oh..I love the gojis'!! I'm gladly devoting that much space to them...their amino acid profile..as well as other nutrients make it the most complete food in the garden, for all ages. This will be the bread ...and butter...of this space!! Plenty of room still...for all the other goodies.

Thanks for heads up on the Kiwi....they had me wondering. Seems very sloooow...to acclimate.

I think of your beautiful garden often!!

  • So much love planted in this back yard....all the best
