But, how long in the olden days are you talking about? He's saying like Malaysia became 60% because the muslims did not dakwah and became LAZY not because the chinese and indians were brought over. There's a difference. Of course he made a BIG mistake. I went emotional and called him a liar (should've been "please state facts"). I felt that he generalized the muslims as the CAUSE of the change in religion from 99% to 60%. I'm sorry. Really :P. Other than that I get his point. Very good lecture

i'm not sure whether you're a muslim or not but Sheikh Said Rageah's actualy made a mistake by combining the today's percentage of muslims in malaysia & indonesia as 84% & he's not a liar. too bad to call him a liar. WE DON'T CALL PEOPLE WHO MADE MISTAKE AS A LIAR. but he was right abt muslims in malaysia in the old days is 99%.

before british came to malaysia (to rob all its natural resources) malaysian population was 99% muslim & malays were 100% muslims that's why in malaysia's constitution there's a mention (in order for a malay) to be a malay one must be a muslim. during the colonial era, the british had brought in a huge number of chinese & indians which we see today malays constitute only 60% of the population. it's kind of colonial tactic to undermine the ethnic malays so that the robber will have an easy way

Thanks for lying about Malaysia's statistics. It's a multiracial country with not more than 60% being Malay. If all Malays were muslims that'd be only 60% not 99% like other muslim countries. and Christianity is not the second religion in Malaysia. It's the third after Buddism.
