@Piriathy stealthboys help alot but it's still not 100% successful. use stealth armor from operation anchorage too to increase the odds (i don't think points past 100 stealth count but i'm not sure

If you detonate the megaton bomb before you finish this quest from moria, you can return to her and she will still give you quest info even though she is a ghoul. She also does not realize she is a ghoul until you point it out.

You're stealth is not high enough, and you got caught pickpocketing, so the grenade isnt placed. Use a stealthboy to temporarily increase your stealth

you can buy it from some places (like moira's) and sometimes find it on bodies. it is not infinite but it last for about 2 minutes

Also the grenades become live when you put them in, nothing extra required

when i do all this the granade just goes into the other persons inventory and doesn't say live granade...wtf do I do?

That's one of my favorite ways to dispatch Raiders. The only problem is the other Raiders hear that loud pop, but it priceless watching the bastard search his pockets and scream "Oh shi-!" just before it goes off.
