@schlabresfan Unfortunately I don't agree, Bryzgalov looked pretty bad down stretch, letting in 5/16 shots against TB recently. Flyers aren't good enough to make a deep playoff run without elite goaltending and Rangers and Bruins in east probably winning 9 out of 10 7 game series they'd see each other in. Any other team who gave up top 2 scorers, invested in a draft would be called "rebuilding" but its the Flyers so they're contending even when they aren't. But udc cuz your a Sabres fan?

im penguins fan and also a big fan of hockey and i have gained tons of respect for bryzgalov over the past month or so and the great thing about the winter classic is that it puts a spotlight onto a regular season game, its not fair to ilya that he's not starting. Bryz does sound his head isn't where it should However, self-deprecation, which dopey sports media types always deliberately misconstrue, is common way too deal with consequences of distraction. Flyers fans shouldn't freak thought. Bobrovsky is plenty good enough to keep the team on track, and no doubt appreciates his countryman taking all the focus off of him for a while. With Bryz in town, Bobs doesn't have to deal with the spotlight, and so he'll hold the fort till Bryz snaps out of it.
