  • nice that has to be some scary shit lol

  • I build one with a 12 foot aluminum boat and a 650 waverunner but didn't get the same result won't come out of the water! Maybe the trim is too high or too much weight at the front? Check it out on YouTube " home made jet boat" goosie222222 thanks bud!!!

  • Looks like a hell of a lot of fun, would love to see some vids of how it was built ect.

    Cheers

  • you not far off dude

    watch?v=W3pq2MS9vq0

  • build another one,, mr. crazy Capizzi.

  • please tell me what kind of engine u use

  • what motor? 670 rotax??

  • omg thats amazing !!

thanks for sharing could you please tell me how can i get a jet ski motor ?

  • ok if you go that fast in a short time how come it doesnt do that on a normal jetski

  • @shortyjk95 that aluminum jon boat probably weighs less than half of what a fiberglass jet ski weighs the power to weight ratio is MUCH higher on that jon boat

  • its a jet nymph, and its awsome lol

  • HOLLY SHIT!

  • Love it! I have a 12' john boat and and an old Kaw 440 standup and this has crossed my mind too many times. Great work man. I would love to see more of the setup.

  • Flat bottom the front thats the problem the bow is cutting either side .

  • check out my myspace.... hahaha fail

  • i love it i want one

  • 25$ for a 12"alum boat?

  • i guess the name "jet deep-v boat" didn't sound as good?

  • @acabtp Sorry I was not technically correct on what kind of boat this is. I will get right on it and email you when it is fixed. I Didnt mean to inconvineance you when this video came up instead of a video for a real john boat. LOL!

  • @torturedevices Thanks, keep me posted.

  • Ipad-499 this 325$......

  • that's awesome,I want one.

  • Cool vid man.

  • Trim it up buddy !!!!!!!!!!!!! its like having hi powed car that wont do a burn out i used to have a worked 25 twin carb on a custom 3.4m tinnie 63km stock prop 1 person it was insane oh always 5 pin misson to get on plane but when it grabbed it used to shoot you skywards .

  • That is TOO FREAKIN COOL I love it!!!! LMAO!!!!!!

  • Comment removed

  • what size motor

  • DUDE YOU SHOULD TOTALLY MAKE IT RADIO CONTROL!

  • FUCK YEAH BADASS! that thing runs!

  • You tried and you done good, just need to trim up the jet slightly, not to much though the dinghy being so light will get to much air under it at high speed and flip.

  • Grande Jet Jhon :D

  • now install twins!

  • Not too bad for a tin bath...

  • amature.. put a F15 turbine into a kayak for real redneck fun!!

  • this is not a jet engine,it sounds like two stroke engine.;D

  • I think it needs to be taken up a notch as in turboed 1300cc Hayabusa motor driving the pump.

  • There are now floating speed limit signs here... Awesome man!

  • ok i am ready to start fishing now!! let me get my pole

  • Can't beat a water jet for efficiency! Really impressive results for the cost you quoted. Looks like a blast!

  • Hahahaha, you are crazy man! I would recommend a helmet and two life vest for whenever you are going to eat it up in this....

  • lol u cant see it plane out ... nice boat i got one with a 10 horse motor on it

  • where did you manage to find an engine for $300????

  • I love rednecks!

  • well i have made one of these and it is stable as hell goes like there is no tomorrow and one of the funnest toys i have ever made

  • @quickmods10... Dont be jealous!

  • @quickmods10 at least he'll be having a blast when it does. Rather than being some looser sitting at home judging other people's work and actions on youtube.

  • @quickmods10 That why he takes a spare engine dumb ass

  • @quickmods10 LOL Im gonna laff too... (then go find half a jetski and make one myself that looks fun )

  • @quickmods10,

I'm already laughing! At you, for not having the balls and or the ingenuity to create anything like this hybrid. I see on your channel that you uploaded a video of a mentos / coke reaction. WHOPEE! It's high times at the farm you live at!

  • @quickmods10 did you not notice that his name is torturedevices?

  • @quickmods10 i cant see that happening, but i can see the jet drive ripping out on acceleration and other bad shit too...

  • shit i'm making one out of a 50 dollar aluminum hull, and a 30 dollar seadoo!

  • For sale ?

  • it looks unstabble

  • i want one

  • woah! make me 1

  • lmao that little shit gets it

  • That is a bad ass John Boat!

  • The hamilton jet has been used in boats for many years before jet skis and wet bikes.. Is nice to see some one having fun.. Well done that man... Back in the 80's we hooked up a 3.4 litre jaguar engine up to a hamilton jet speed boat.. That was very crazy.. but also safe.. It pulled experiance water skiers off thier skis.

  • ...

This is the REAL American spirit. Thanks.

  • it's just a waste of time to put that beautiful engine on that bullshit!

  • @Microice109

    WRONG!!!!

  • that thing flys!

  • just like US cars, cant corner!!!!!!!!

  • That's fukn awesome!

  • torturedevices > ".. top speed it would make a hard turn ..'

Did you even get that erratic behavior under control? Weight distribution within such a lightweight boat at high speed could very easily impact steering, so try centering the operator within the boat - as is the case on most personal watercraft (jet skis). However, in the end, I suspect you'll find this type of boat is just not well designed for high speeds.

  • Not a Jon boat

  • Can it fly????

  • @frilink GET WINGS ON IT AND IT WILL!

  • You can call it one but it is no where near as fast

  • That is just scary!

  • i want to get a 10- 12 foot boat hard to find one where i live

  • LOL...Awesome concept and innovation dude. You should enter it in one of the SDBA or IHBA events as a PWC class.

  • dude, that looks WAY more fun than the pedal-car bodied go-kart with the mini-stock prepped pinto 4-banger my friend suggests building...wonder what that jet setup would be like in a modified pirogue?

  • Cool

  • Is it a jet ski engine?

  • its has a jet drive and its a boat... what do you call it then?

  • @torturedevices call it a jetboat perhaps? they've only been around for like... ever

  • @torturedevices

    A 10 second tinny???? :)

  • @torturedevices a self propelled boat mounted jet drive.

  • @torturedevices it is a PWC (pesonal water craft).it is defined as something you sit on rather than sit in

  • @torturedevices A improvised piece of shit. You're welcome.

  • @shlajboo

it is a jetboat smart ass

  • @shlajboo Of course it is a jet boat.

  • @shlajboo What? Were you expecting an airplane jet engine?

  • Kool, what engine is in it kawasaki 550 jet-ski ?

  • wow, that's really nice, can you post some close up footage of how you did it ?

    thanks

  • Sorry guy's but that isn't classified as a Jon Boat. Jons are flat bottoms not V Hulls. Awesome idea though and kick ass Boat!

  • After many requests I have just added more JET JON videos. CHECK THEM OUT! I have the pleasure of saying I was the first, but if I had an aluminum welder and I was going to do it right... I would have welded an aluminum suction pick up in place and angled the jet up a little more, I think that is why it hogs down in the water at high speed. I just built this thing in a weekend. I cut the hull out of the jet ski and cut an inlet and outlet hole in the jon boat, then I siliconed and bolted it

  • @torturedevices How Many cc's, or what engine size?

  • tell me....did you do any research on this? If so could you give me some tips...i was planning to do this to my '58 Lonestar runabout and im not shure what jet ski engine i shoud use or if it is wise to switch anyway....I'm just really tired of screwing around with the damn 35 hp 2 stroke...

  • it still makes the hard turn when you go fast?

  • Anyone who pays $3000 for a 97 tigershark is a complete moron.

  • @rotor13b Anyone That Cant Read Is A Complete Moron.

  • that hull is not made for that kind of stuff. looks like it has too much rocker - the bow is sucked down at high speed.

  • needs less V in the hull

  • more risk....

  • hahahahahahahhaah thats awesome..

  • Rocket powered rowboat! Hell yeah!

  • looks sick dude :p

    i likie

  • sick boat...

  • 44000p0-009asdfj-pasdf

  • Hole shot is really something else. I don't know I've even seen a PWC be able to pull that sort of jump.

  • what jump??

  • Jump from 0 to 40 in nothing flat.

  • hahaha cool

  • Where the hell did you find a Gregor for $25 bucks?

  • Sheesh min! aat thein weis nippen oan' bit fit wuiy did ee' nay keep eih hunnul doon??

  • You do have it trimmed almost perfect. a prop would make the front end go steep if it had the power to move a boat that fast

But that thing just goes. wonderful.

  • @brokenbrush hey i m thinking of building one sorta like that, useing an old, seadoo, moter/pump/ ect, i got a 12 ft, aluimum looks like it has a 12* already, but made for an out board, , any info would help

    regards rolly

  • STUDY what has to happen to make it work. you need to cut a hole in the boat to let the intake water in. and a holw in the transom to let the jet out. Use sealas to keep it water tight and nut and bolt the whole set up well.

Draw it on paper. and get it all worked out , first. keep making detailed drawings Because they will later be your BULEPRINTS of the project. But It ain't rocket science. It would be very do-able. i don't know why the factories haven't done it yet.

  • Probably ROLL because you loose a lot of SPACE in the boat. and you alos loose about 10 Horse power with a jet . SO think about that. Yea It's cool and fast but what are you gonna use it for? it wouldn't not be a good fishing boat.

It is basically just a Hot rod. and probably The coast guard will not let it pass instection. most 12 ft. alumanium boats are only made for 375 LBS. with engine, tank, safety gear , and passengers combined.

  • NO ya needed less Vee on the front of yer boat. ya gotta think of it asa wing At thet speed the slightest bit of vee in the water is going to steer that thing. I love it But you should build it on a flat bottom boat. The jet will steer it just fine. we did the same thing but with a 10 foot flatbottom.

  • That looks wicked fun. Where can you get a jet ski drivetrain for only 300 bux? INSANE!!!!

  • what motor is in your boat im building a fiberglass model with a 650 cc engine

  • $300 motor, $25 boat. This whole project sounds like something I'd do! (in fact, a friend and I are in the design process of a motorized canoe.)

  • @FliegenCockatiel i did that with a 3 horse motor.. it gets a litle sketches plaining off and going

  • Thats Freakin Awsome!!! Well Done Boys....

  • hahahaha, brilliant :)

  • give it some beans son!

  • thats cool but that little boat is not strong enuf to handle the speed its gonna get airborn and flip.

  • keep on going.... why stop... too scared ?? give it to me and i will cruise fast and hard all the way....

  • read the descrption it makes a hard turn when you go top speed

  • wouldn't take long to get to your fishing hole in that one..

  • thats my way of fishin!!!!1

  • not really

  • Comment removed

  • that scary shit be careful

  • damn it's a pretty gregor

  • Dude, do I know a river that I could use that puppy on! Major Cool rig

  • WAIT WHAT????? 25 DOLLAR BOAT????

  • lol is that a jet ski motor?

  • if you put the wheight more in the back to keep that bow out of the water it would track straiter

  • Put some stabilizers/keels/fins on the bottom to have more control in turning.

  • thats awsome dude

  • looks like i got me a new project - tx - incredible

  • I've wondered about this you guys rock for actually doing it. That looks freakin sweet. I really appreciate people who do this kinda stuff and for cheap!

  • DAMN THATS AWSOME

  • why do you type like your keybaord has herpes?

  • how did u get that boat for 25?

  • i like that

  • Cool Frankenboat. It's not a johnboat though. Johnboats have square bows and flat bottoms.

  • awsome

  • good job!

  • very cool

  • haha fucken sweet, some one should hook up a commercial backpack blower and make a hybrid jey boat.. just no reverse

  • he sisnt say it was a new boat or a new jetski..all he needed was the motor and he probly got the boat used

  • yeah you need a v bottom bad...just do some cuttin and weldin and you might have some fun...

  • a 25 dollar jon boat and a 300 dollar jetski??? tell me wear ur getting ur stuff from. that may be the price for those in ur dream land but on earth a 97 tiger shark jetski coats about 3 grand and a jonboat is any where from 100 dollars(used) to 3 grand

  • well first off, he said the motor, not the entire thing

  • they were in bad shape, both ready for the scrap yard with no titles. the boat needed work, it leaked water and the jet ski didnt work when I got it. I rebuilt the carbs, replaced the plugs and she was good to go.

  • were on earth do u get a $25 boat

  • freakin sweet

  • wow,nice boat

try it with a apu (auxilliary power unit) and your boat is a real speed boat xD

  • can i buy that boat

  • thats awsome

  • What happens if you try to turn at moderate speeds? Very cool nonetheless.

  • Crazy

  • i am inspired.

  • hell yeah!!!!

  • nice vid, but don't try for any serious stunts with that thing....

  • What size motor and what did you use for the jet? Jet from a jet ski?

  • that is Awesome!

  • I got a 10ft aluminum boat for free. it might have been stolen i'm not positive

  • yeah right 25 dollars for that boat

someone must have wanted to pay you to take it off them

  • only $25 for that aluminum boat? (not counting the engine)

  • The "V" in the hull, is making the boat "Hook" or turn hard. You need less V in the hull, or better yet just trim it, so the Bow is further out of the water, on plane. Pretty damn cool Thu. Cheap and fast !

  • fuck that thing is fast

  • thats sick...... looks rigged ...but runs sweet I need one.. you should sell these things lol it would be perfect for fishing swampland no prop to get caught up and plenty of speed!!!

  • thats awesome! I thought of doing this myself so i figured if someones done it, it will be here on you tube sure enough here it is. How shallow can you run through? This thing would be a bad ass in the airboat trails here in florida..

  • damnn

  • I need one!!! Only if it can run like that in 4 inches of river though!

  • did that boat cost 25 dolllars????wth? here we pay like 3000 euro's for that thing!

  • i agree with u if tht costs $25 i want one there quite expensive here like very expensive
