A classic. The story and effects still hold up pretty good, aside from Gort's rubber body that is.

I am amazed at the quality of the props and design and the visual effects - flawless.
I'm sad that the new ship was more of an optical distortion than a ship.

a true cult classic. i saw this during the 1970's on BBC2 here in the UK. it was part of their science fiction film festival. wonderful movie -thanks
