i dont know what your talking about i have a trooper and it was the tufest suv ever i jump it rally it off road the crap out of it and it just dont quit and my trooper is a 92 to the only thing bad i have to say about troopers is 25mph into 45mph car dont go so well lol but at least you have a bull bar
these Japanese in American cars never work out. its like they fuck us over because we would never know that it was a engine from japan. my dodge dynasty has 110000 miles and smokes like a mofo. engine: mitsubishi
My parents had a '94 Trooper for 10 years; one of the toughest rigs I've seen yet. the engine was starting to drink a lot of oil when we finally got rid of it, but despite living a hard 170k life, it never had any major failures (except of course when my folks for got to do the timing belt at the scheduled time.. even then nothing was damaged.)
I got a 2001 trooper limited. love everything about it, except my transmission just ate shit at 96k miles. I found out what the problem is, the motor and everything else is made in japan(of course if its made in japan it will last) the transmission is by GM the biggest piace of american dog shit you can buy!
It looks like the same color as mine? Is it a 92? also what size wheels do you have on it? Did you keep it stock? Also what size motor does your's have?
Well, I know men with small peepees need lots of power to compensate for their shortcomings but, fortunately, I don't have that problem so an Isuzu is good enough.
agree i have 89 trooper(swiss made) it stil runs on Russian roads (and off-roads) without any tech problems, but the next two years I want to rebuild it!!!
My dad had a 1988 trooper and my first car was a 1991 trooper (THE HOSS)! i now have a land rover discovery but this july im trading it in for another trooper!!!!! Keep "the pig" as long as you can! you will miss it when its gone! The best Cars ever!
my first truck is an 88 trooper AKA:poopstain. but i have to replace the master cylinder and the slave cylinder. other than that, damn does the 4 wheel drive work like no other!!!! long live the !!TROOPER!!
Yeah, I haven't been able to bring myself to get rid of it. My wife wants me to get rid of it which makes paying for a new clutch pretty difficult but in the end, given the fact that my wife likes to spoil me, I'll get my way. The only question is, when?
sure the 3litre isnt even an isuzu engine just a bucket of bolts thrown together 3.1 only job

It's all pretty much stock. The tires are 245/75R-16's and the engine is a good ol' 3.2L.
