sir.. please clarify my doubt.. in your chord progression lessons u play melody of different songs.

do you create melodies only by listening the song thereby placing the notes as they sound good. or you take the melodies by original composition..or du we have thumb rule to create melodies also.

I mean if one listen to a new song nd want to play that as solo; just the recognizable melody of it...i hope i am clear in my question..

melodies are always based on the scale you are playing in ...

many chords will require all fingers, especially barre chords ... u must practice,it will get better :)

u can substitute F#m with D, will sound ok as the note is F# and both chords have that note - u can even try playing Bm!!

or use a capo on 2nd fret and play in G with the chords G, Em, C and D

sir, after that para when the verse starts ki- ' kehede mujhse dil me tere...' there u hav used (A major- Fm- C major- A), but insted of that can we use (A major - Fm- F major- A ), sir plz guide..

the original song has C major chord at that point, where the note goes to C

sure u can play F, by the same logic as C is played, as both chords have the note C

depends on the effect u want to create

but the original does have C ....

oh hello. i recently subscribed to u on youtube. well, i did a crash course in guitar coz i didnt hav much time (due to studies) after  my holdays. so i know a very few chords and i m not even able to play them correctly. the finger shifting is really difficult and not so quick......... so how wud u advise me to overcome this problem and go about lessons on the net so that finally one day evenn i m able to play ur chord lessons wonderfully

it's all a question of practice. if u have ur basics rt, then keep practising, and it will get better - around half hour every day, and u will see the improvement in a week! it will not show in one session, so have patience!!
