I'm also of the opinion that too many people take the easy way out trying to sound heavy through active pickups and so called "death metal distortion" pedals( or similar fuzz/distortion boxes). but again, I'm old school.

I hate how almost every guitar review, guitar cover and so on, on youtube sound like shit. And by that I mean that I would never buy a guitar based on the sound "samples" in these videos because they are almost every time nothing near what the guitar sounds like in real life. I use a pr of Denon AH-D700 headphones and a studio headphone amplifier when listening on youtube and music in general, and still most of the youtube reviews sound like shit. (FYI; that's a 1900dollar pr of headphones)

No, it does not have EMG humbuckers. It has EMG humbucking pickups. Gibsons have humbuckers. Everyone else has humbucking pickups.

he mentions "if you wanna do a solo you switch up"...that means going to the neck pick up...most sane people solo with the bridge PU to get trebly bite and cut through , unless ur Yngwie and going for THAT sound.

quality guitar but keeps falling forward, headstock first, you constantly have to "hold it" up..when u play rhythm or solos, that gets difficult. If ur used to strats the falling forward problem will make or break ur decision

@1251wire hey, ive got this exact guitar, same color and all. flat out..i love it. this guy does a horrible job of showing it off..i play it through a marshall too and trust me you can set it to sound sooo much better, clean and distorted. it plays like freakin lightning too...next to an ibanez or music man its got the nicest neck ive ever played on. my only concern is that it doesnt have a floyd...but thats not too big of a deal
