ya know why all mack trucks have a bulldog facing forward on the hood??? ANS so 2 ass holes can look at each other... hahaha thats an old one but still funny...
Yes you can still get a Mack chassis for your fire apparatus. The county I live in has 3 new 2500 gallon pumper/tankers that are Mack/Central States. They love em.
Why are there different sirens on the trucks like some of the trucks have the WAAAA affect and others have just the normal ambulance/police siren. Is it the make of the truck or just the type of sirens you get or the preference of the driver to use which sirens he wants
well only one truck you see in this clip is still running out of the station. the new ladder truck will not fit in the fire house and the one engine is moved to reserve status becase is cost so much to fix every week when it stops working,.
@mackb125 If you are from Allentown, can you tell me why Mack does not make fire trucks anymore and if they are, what do they look like? FDNY and Bridgeport F.D. used to be exclusively Mack equipment and both have comp. changed over.
@rodeliot mack stoped making fire trucks in 1990 in the early 80s they stoped making full fire trucks. so only cabs where made and sentto otheres to finish like ward, lti, lafrance. i have seen some blue prints of what they had in mind to replace the fames CF cab and it would hav realy flip the fire truck industry. no fire trucks where just a small share of ther mack truck line and in the late 80 money was tight and a lot of companys needed to down size so fire trucks had to go.
@mackb125 Macks still supply Mack cabs to any Fire Apparatus builder out there (LaFrance, KME, Spartan, 4-Guys, Sutphen, Pierce, and so forth). But as mackb125 said, they stopped making full trucks. Which was a little before Sutphen ripped them by using their name to build 2 cabs that never succeded after Sutphen got sued by Mack.
Um.. idk how i got to this video,But I remember going to Allentown like 5 months ago and i saw a couple of engines and they looked nothing like these,Is it only this station that has these kind of engines?
those ones are nice
