I am in the process of building a low-budget LTD Stirling engine myself, not in the ballpark that You operate in.

Would You be kind and give Your take on the thickness of the displacer, related to displacement cylinder in percent?

I have seen the value of 65%, but it appears that quite a few builders rather go lower, maybe even down to 50%.

yes it is. around the displacer it has x6 1 1/4in holes evenly spaced around the out side if any questions please ask

i dont know percentages the displacer is 6 3/32 inch 5/16 thick.the cylinder is 5/8 id cylinder height 1 3/8 in this motor was designed to run on yery low temp dif but on boiling water it was tested 371rpm

As I read it - The displacer is 5/16 in thick and the displacer cylinder is 10/16 in thick, which relates to 50%.
